I am 80 years old and I exercised and bike a little too vigorously yesterday and started having knee pain on the inside of my knee when I was walking. I tried the first exercise in this video, the knee pain disappeared. I am now pain-free. This could put a lot of doctors out of work. Thank you Jo.

These stretches and exercises are great! I did them yesterday for the first time, but only had time to do the first two exercises. Still, I was able to walk around like a normal person, with no knee discomfort. Just now, I did them all and my knees feel great. I’m looking forward to starting my day, walking around and seeing how it feels to get me legs and stride back. Thanks Dr. Jo :-)

I used to do deep knee "pistol" one-legged squats up until 5 weeks ago when I started playing tennis with more intensity than I was used to. I'm no longer able to squat right down rock-bottom without some pain in my right knee. I have no swelling or problem squatting CLOSE to full range and coming back up. Could you suggest what the problem might be at the very depth of the squat and what exercises might remedy the right knee?

Would you recommend any other similar products? I'm having a hard time finding knee braces that have magnets like this one does. I'm bummed because I was super excited to try it out.

I was excited about the magnetic therapy because people in the reviews seemed to have experienced their healing came a lot faster through that method. I hurt both my knees last September (with twisting motions) and they still haven't healed completely. I ended up hurting the left leg again, and I'm experiencing pain all the way from the middle of my inner calf to my inner mid-thigh. I was really hoping the sleeve would help. (Your channel is great, btw, so thankful I found it!

I cycled almost everyday for 6 months and my knees started to hurt I just cycled through it, in hindsight that was definitely not a positive thing to do, quite stupid actually. They eventually cracked under the pressure (not literally). I couldn't bend them for 2 months and into the 3rd month now they are still tight and are sore when I climb stairs or even walk sometimes. I am 18, so very young to have this sort of pain and I don't think I will ever be able to cycle again. It is my favourite hobby and now I cannot even cycle 20 meters.

How are you getting on now ? I am in a very similar situation . I'm 23 and started cycling a lot around a year ago on a road bike . About two weeks ago I went on a 40 k ride and felt ok just a twinge in the knee , now I have hardly been able walk properly let alone cycle .i think my seat may have been too high and too far back . I am doing all sorts of stretching and knee strengthening exercises and seeing slight improvement with the range of motion but still painful .

Thanks, I've been doing some of these exercises and stretches already but not all of them combined as a regular routine, so I'm hoping that might help to improve things for me (runner's/jumper's knee, patellofemoral pain and maybe slight osteoarthritis in one knee). I've also noticed that my patella seems pretty big and barely moves at all in the groove especially vertically, which isn't something any doctor or even orthopedic surgeon ever pointed out to me. So that was interesting and maybe that's one point of "attack" to relax stress on the knee if the supporting muscles and ligaments are tight. Other than that I have full range of motion without noticeable pain when doing exercises (knee to chest, foot to butt, butt to ground on squats though the movement itself can bother the knee).

You're welcome. Yes, hopefully getting some more patella movement will help with that. It is often something that goes unnoticed because you can have full range of motion even when it is tight, but it is more likely to wear on the joint when it doesn't move well. Good luck!

Your video on stretching for sciatica, which I may or may not have had, helped me so much! I went from sometimes walking around like an old, stiff man, to feeling great, all in a few seconds or minutes of stretching. Thank you soooo much!
