Knee Surgery | Xmas Baking | Sunsets and Funny Shirts

I had my complex meniscus tears repaired and an intercondylar notchplasty performed on my ACL (basically he shaved a bit of my bone). Come with me as I spend a couple of weeks recovering.
We bake some Christmas cookies, see a beautiful sunset and I share a cheeky new t-shirt.

Do you know what... I don't mind a hospital sleep (especially when dosed up a little.. and I also don't mind coming out of a General I feel like ive had the best sleep)! Ive got meniscus tears too... I was a runner but have trouble with it now. Interesting to watch your healing process I kinda feel like I still don't want surgery! You've done amazing!

I’m with you, I love a good surgery sleep, I’ve had more than enough of those the last few years but that’s the silver lining of it all 😂 I will say it’s been a process with the surgery… I think for you it’d be a whole other consideration as your work is so physical. I was out of action for a decent chunk of time and even now I wouldn’t want to kneel on it, and it certainly doesn’t feel like my non-operated knee. My specialist asked me if I was a runner! Apparently it’s good that I’m not as I’ve lost a boat load of cushioning in there and it wouldn’t be viable for me to run anymore. I wasn’t even one to begin with, just unlucky 🥲 And thank you!
