The only explanation is that Lan was spamming Navi Chips during the whole trip to keep time stopped.

So Lan either has The World or Star Platinum to keep time stopped, or uses a Sandevistan to keep timed slowed for as long as humanly possible.

I like how John spends the whole JunkMan scenario talking trash about him, right up until he realizes that he actually murdered him and feels bad. Maybe the reason John is so hard on Luna is because he doesn't like having to share the tsundere role with someone else.

Either that or....... *SF3 SPOILERS AHEAD* (Don't know if John already played it, and for anyone who still hasn't) Has to watch Luna almost actually dying during the second half of the game to feel "something" at least. For me honestly the best part of the game, and i'm not saying that because i hate Luna btw. Geo and Ace are both the real MVP's from that moment onwards

"Yoichiro should be rich" YOICHIRO?! Dude Lan should be rich because HIS GRANDFATHER DR. LI-er-HIKARI INVENTED FREAKING NAVIS, y'know, the NUMBER ONE SECURITY ANSWER (and problem) IN THIS SERIES. It literally makes NO SENSE that Lan's not so set for life that Yuichiro in BN6 should've said; "Y'know what... I can move to Central City and just come home on the weekend, what's two houses?" (On top of, y'know, how common it is for husbands in JP to move to tokyo without their family and just visit home on the weekends, living out of a hotel effectively.)

I can confirm ome thing about solid events, actually. I've been playing this one now and I wanted to know if you could break out of bounds and what happens. Well most stuff just isn't loaded anymore. Mystery data is all still there, but if you weren't meant to be in an area yet, any navis that may be there by dumb luck will just say "False" and nothing else when talked to. Many areas just didn't have any navis around. Any special navi like the board part navis could or could not be there (two were, one wasn't). You can't interact with the water drop in Netfrica's area, it just says "False" as well. C-slider paths are big enough for MegaMan to walk on if you manage to pass their triggers. You can encounter Bass in the back of the undernet and fight him, however, as well as going to black meteor 2 and fighting all the DS navi's, use the bugfrag trader, and even do the fight with the mirror. Talking to the figure beside the mirror after the fight, however, will just say "False". No early HubBatch. Can get bugstop getting past the door in ACDC 1 though, as well as programs like SpeedMax, Mega/GigaFolder, Spin Pink, and a couple other goodies, amongst all the PMD that can be picked up, as well as HP/RegUPs, at least for the first game. Interested in seeing what the BMD will be when I break out in the second and third games for shits and giggles. It's the least BN4 deserves for wasting so much time with such a mediocre game.

1:23:36 And that's what killed the franchise for me. I was able to 100% BN 1-3 and had naturally planned to do the same with 4. However, once I realized how it worked, I then realized that I'd need to open a guide and go through EVERY SINGLE PART OF THE GAME before fighting Duo, in one sitting just to make sure. I was on the second play through doing that, when I just got burnt out. I'd put the game down for like a week, and when I'd pick it back up, I'd forget what I had and hadn't gotten...meaning I'd have to scour the whole game all over again in one sitting...which would again burn me out and I wouldn't touch the game for another week, repeating the cycle. Eventually, BN5 came out, but I didn't want to get too deep into it until I had finished 4. Unfortunately, BN5 was so god damn amazing that it became impossible to put down. For real, I got an Japanese rom of it before it released, played and beat the whole thing with guides, and when it came out in english, played and beat the whole thing all over again. I had to forbade myself from touching the post game however, until I went back and finished BN4, thanks to my nagging OCD. ...and then 6 came out and I went through the whole some and dance again, Japanese rom and all. Only difference was, I completely forbade myself from even beating the main game until I finished BN4. So, for the longest time, I had no idea how the series even ended. To this day, I still never finished my copy of 4, and once I get to it on the LC, it's buster max on from start to finish. BN4 literally ruined the series for me and I'm honestly shocked they made no attempts to improve it. The translation, the RNG, anything.

You'd think an entire story centered around you fighting in a whole bunch of different tournaments would be fun, but somehow...... *Mega Man Battle Network 4 proved me wrong.......*

Well that's what happens when you split the tournaments' roster in half and fill the void with generic competitors that you still hive to fight. Also, the fact that all the scenarios are random so next to none of them can have unique dungeons or move you to new areas.

@@AlphaOmega1237 the main problem is that you aren't taken to any new areas until you win any tournaments, and even during the second tournament you aren't taken anywhere new. Feels like the only thought behind map design was put into the Undernet.

@@AlphaOmega1237 And that's what I hate the most, those damn "dungeons". They're Filler. *Mandatory sidequests* just to progress the story. Why do I have to play hide and seek with Dex's little brother? Why do I have to go find special shoes to go kick a virtual bomb around? Why do I have to do all these things that have nothing to even do with the story or tournament? Like in one scenario where Lan gets into a pointless cooking challenge with this random kid and his instant food machine. Why? I've got nothing to prove or gain from this! My only interest is the next round. *Let me FIGHT!*

So you have to play the game three times to get everything and access the post game. The problem is that some chips and items can only be found on certain playthroughs and not in later ones. So there are items you can just flat out miss.

Gotta love how the Hero's Path in these fucking tournament arcs ends with you actually fucking erasing a sentient being from existing. Blue Moon can make Lan and Mega have an actual body count in the story route. Oh and now Duo actually has darkness he can yoink. Not a lot, but its there.

As a personal favor to Kojima. His son really liked Battle Network so the he asked if they could have a crossover. Capcom said yes, and now ShadeMan canonically doesn't even fucking die in his home series.

I still don’t get it about how did MBN 4 become the best selling battle network game while the game itself is the weakest in the series, we have MBN 3, 5 and 6 are in my opinion are the best in the series! These ones should be the top selling games.

It was running entirely off of hype from BN3 and the anime. It's why the most sales were in the first few weeks and then they plateaued.

@@NEETKitten Also they want you to play the game 3 times if you want to unlock everything, which is completely sucks, if you missed an item in BMD and grap it later then the next item won’t pop up so you have to beat the game then start over to get the next item in BMD

It has nothing to do with that. When does anything good become the most popular? I bought 4 because 3 interested me and when I got around to purchasing a BN 4 came out. Why would I buy 3 if 4 just released (and hence no one knew how bad it was).
