+10 year Zip knife owner here, the knife is still attached to my keys even after 2 tours in military service and 10 years worth of hiking trips. It has visited over 40 countries, and airport security has never checked or commented about it, not even in UK. Status of the knife after 10 years? It has been used daily, never sharpened it, still cuts gorilla tape. The loop mechanism died after 7 years and I just replaced it with titanium keyloop, during last year my knife took a hit and its missing a small bit on the blade, but yet still opens every box and letter I get. Trying to look for a replacement atm, the Gerber online store still has them :) Would totally recommend this product, best knife I ever bought.

I live in Sweden, and I had some Rose hip soup to drink and two sandwiches with Salami and a slice of cheese. You should try rose hip soup if you haven't already. Best enjoyed warm, and if you feel like it you can put a scoop of ice cream in the middle just to sweeten it up a bit and get that hot/cold experience. Hope you'll have a great weekend Jeff!

I am looking for a new EDC knife. I currently have the Gerber Paraframe(full size grey). I like it, but it doesn't clip on very well, and I was thinking about switching to a fixed blade. I like Gerber, but I am open to suggestions. I want something that is easy to open with one hand, easy to get to, works as a pocket knife, doesn't have serrations, and is very sturdy. I know that this is random, and you have other things to do, but I know you will have some very good suggestions. Help me cutlerylover you're my only hope.

I think it would be cool to integrate the lock into the pivot where you would have to pinch the pivot and twist to get the blade in and out. Awesome vid as always.
@firextitxmf13316 жыл бұрын
I had one of these knives for opening packages on a service desk without having to get out my larger pocket knife. It lasted about a week before the tension in the frame popped the tiny pivot screw. I sent it back and got another one under warranty but again after just a few days the same thing happened so I just gave up with the knife design.

Hey Jeff Cool Review. I would rather have a Spyderco Bug on my Zipper or on my Keyring or even in my Wallet it's much smaller and has much more Performance than the Gerber GDC Zip Knife I think in my opinion. What do you think? P.S. how's Gus? N.
