I have the Turbine set and I love it. Puts the Mill Creek one to shame. Thankfully I had no shipping problems and I was grateful Turbine had a PayPal option which made it even easier to order. It really is sad that Universal couldn't do a USA release for the 40th Anniversary but I'm use to buying imports from other countries on hard to find shows. It's just sad that's how things are now. Bottom line though Turbine did a great job on this and I doubt any other company can out do this release if someone else gets the copyrights to Knight Rider again. This set so far is the ultimate Knight Rider release and I'm glad I have it now!

Cool overview, man. Very enjoyable. It's really a shame that this boxset isn't in English all the way. That would have been an absolute no-brainer. Even though I understand German perfectly, I can't stand it. LOL

Kind of a stinker show ... hard to believe that TKR made the cut but not that, right? I've actually heard more people liking TKR than the reboot.

They actually wanted to include it but rights issues prevented them. They even had discs ready for it.

@@Darkuni Turbine haven't said apart from it being a rights issue. Though it's strongly suspected that it's a music issue as apparently a lot of music in that series.

Turbine just did a smaller re-release of the series with just the 4 seasons and the first bonus disc. I think the 40th set is better but at least now fans have a second chance to buy the uncut episodes at a cheaper price.

Nice video, I think you’re under selling the improvements in the video on the Turbine set. The contrast is significantly better on the Turbine set, Mill Creek has elevated brightness which has washed everything out. Missing music aside, the sound quality is significantly better also on the Turbine set, I recommend you compare the audio on Season One Episode 10 “Inside Out”. In terms of missing footage I think it is only “Knight of the Drones” that’s got less footage as Mill Creek got given the syndicated version. It is missing a few scenes, most notably the reveal of KITT’s new dash. I’ve done a very detailed analysis myself and it’s on the BluRay forum, I would post a link but it’ll get removed.

I wish I had more time to do a proper AV comparison. It is a complete mess trying to cover anything like this on YT without getting copyright slammed. Unfortunately, as soon as you play more than about 5 seconds? You're done. Video or audio. So dumb. I went looking for a proper list of cut footage; but it sounded like the elites were arguing about what should be the source; was it the OG broadcast? The re/syndication? Such a mess. I also say they did some weird half-hour cuts? Nutty. I'd love to look at your post. I MAY have seen it in my research, but admittedly your name doesn't ring a bell. Try to post a link! Or give me enough information for Google to find it for me :D Thanks for the details comment and suggestions! On a totally off note, the ADR is really apparent on this show - especially in Season 1. Funny, you don't notice stuff like that as a kid ... :)
