I have been thinking about Getting the MPC kit, of course I would not be able with my current time frame and skill set to take it as far you did. and MPC is now where of that quality . Verrrry Cool.
@xrlent129 жыл бұрын
+AMERICAN LEGEND The MPC is still a decent kitt but the detail is better and more accurate with this one. Of course this is a curbside, has no engine, so if you want an engine, go with the MPC. I personally didn't care about the engines in iconic movies cars since we don't really know what under there and thats part of the mystery.

been wondering where you been....evidently in the back of knight industries 18 wheeler with a smoking hot woman er ah i mean assistant for 6 mos.. judging from underneath the base had a few nights with a stiff neck..love the pavement idea gonna have to check that out further...nice work as always brother.....cheers

+motorhead1964 LOL! Thanks buddy. Yeah the final wiring was tricky and my neck was a bit stiff. Yeah checkout transition modelers idea with cork tile. I think its on his vid about mad max build and back to the future, you can really see the effects properly there, mine is all covered up.

This is so outstanding! I sell my 1:18 hot wheels elote kitt just for this kitt! I just bought one season 4 model and luckily the scanner is in the package. Got it for 40,euros ink. Shipping. I would love to get some advise from you about the paint job and on how i can achive the scanner speed control with the remote. Also I will install lights like you did. But have no clou how i an operate it with the remote. Can you help me out on this please?
@xrlent126 жыл бұрын
gabrielwhite mine is all programed via an arduino. You cant alter the existing scanner. My scanner is controled by the arduino code as is the remote.
@xrlent126 жыл бұрын
gabrielwhite as for the paint job. I use automotive paints. The body is sanded with 800 and then primed. I then wet sand with 1200 and lay down a few coats of black. Then sand with 2000 and apply a 2part clear.
@gaboaaa236 жыл бұрын
ok so to change the speed an arduino is needed? No potenziometer or something can achieve the speedchange? Also could you tell me the parts i need? Wich remote, arduino ect....And could you hand me out the template for the arduino so i only have to load it on the arduino? Bwcause i have no clou about this programing stuff. About the paint job: By automotive paints you mean regular/normal car paint from spray can? And how long do you wait between the black coats? Some people say 5-10 minutes till its "dry". And do you wait 24hours before you put the clearcoat on the blck coat? Do you have any orangeskin effect or dust particles in the finished paint?? Because im so affraid to mess up the car body. I hate it when you hold the car in a light source and dust is visible in the paint. Thanks !

I have the same KNIGHT Rider kit MPC if I'm Correct .buddy boy I'm going to have to hit you up to see how did the red stripe light this awesome .
@xrlent128 жыл бұрын
It's the Aoshima kit, it's better than the MPC but a little more money. It's doesn't have an engine though so you may not like it. It's run by microprocessor similar to the arduino if I remember correctly. Although with the MPC version you have the engine so there won't be room for the board. You might be able to use the tiny cylon kit thats available.
@McLarenMan075HT8 жыл бұрын
xrlent12 yeah mines got the engine but what I have found out and I can remove the engine and put a board in instead .
@xrlent128 жыл бұрын
Cool, well whenever you get on to it, let me know and i'll try help you out. If I can remember myself. That was done with a different chip to the arduino but using an anduino should still fit. I'm sure i still have the code somewhere.

Very nice job man, congratulations!! Just one little mistake with the lights: The running lights on the side are not supposed to be connected with the indicators, but just stay on as you turn on the lights/headlights. Keep up the good work.
@xrlent129 жыл бұрын
+MotorScotti Thanks. I've fixed the lights on the rear. But i'm leaving the side markers. In reality KITT didn't use indicators (not that I saw anyway) so we are both incorrect. :)
@MotorScotti9 жыл бұрын
Okay cool. Well that's my point, the marker lights are only on when the headlights are. But yes, who needs indicators when you're KITT! :-)

+xrlent12 i see......what i like the most is that you can slow down or speed up the scanner. Is this hard to make?

Fantastic job! The Season 4 version kit comes with tinted windows. Seasons 1 and 3 do not. There isn't a kit of Season 2, and I believe it's because there was no difference between Seasons 1 and 2. Looks like a season 4 unless you used filler or a ton of paint on the front end
@xrlent125 жыл бұрын
I didnt use a tonne of filler or paint. I believe its season 3. Im sure the kit is marketed as season 3 also. Season 4 the body had more 'transforming' mods which looked crap in my opinion.
@patientmental8755 жыл бұрын
@@xrlent12 Season 4 has the flush front end which yours appears to have unless the paint is thick & the one your thinking of is the super pursuit mode version! There are 4 Aoshima Knight Rider models, season 1,3,4 & SPM
@xrlent125 жыл бұрын
@@patientmental875 The paint is def not thick so what you see is how the kit is. Im sure its the season 3 kit but as far as how accurate it is im no expert.
