The “if I was an evil person” choke! Love it! Haha.

I as a white belt got @4:02 on a purple belt that carelessly gave up side control, and almost got the tap. He protected himself by grabbing his Gi with the hand trapped by the Kimura and getting enough air with the other. When the time expired and he stood up, blood was running down his nose, that's how much he didn't want to tap to a white belt.

Dan Severn made the dragon sleeper famous. And Kimura was the toughest bastard in Japan.

This couldn't have been more well-timed in my Jiu-Jitsu journey. Excellent instructional video! I love that you covered attacks from the north south position. This is honestly one of my favorite positions to be in. Thank you for the great content!

An interesting submission from north south is knee on neck. Basically while in north south, you lift his head up while driving your knee upward to his neck before pressing down.

Great as always. Coch i have question that bothers me for some time. Does marcelo choke work in Gi? I never am able to hit it even on practice...
@KnightJiuJitsu2 жыл бұрын
It does work in the gi, but it’s harder because of the friction and space. But theoretically everything no GI can work in the gi.

What is the submissions called at 5:45-6:18? Is that two different submissions also?

Can you just rnc from north south like how an ezekial is an rnc from the front. So like an inverted rnc or inverted ezekial?
@KnightJiuJitsuАй бұрын
Sort of, but the big issue is creating the space to lace that arm inside. It gives the bottom person access to the same space to potentially frame and defend.
@Brandonsherrell-zv3pcАй бұрын
@ thank you. I worded it wrong Could you rnc off a snapdown like youve sprawled on the guy and instead of guillotineing by pulling guard on the guy you keep your legs away and do a rnc? Thank you for replying.
