Tanikaze's first fight in "Knights of Sidonia" episode 2!
Even though he comes off as something of a clumsy wimp in the first episode, he starts kicking serious ass in the second.

@Shuuran. It's a good watch, the 3D takes a little getting used to at first but you'll soon forget about that with the story and other artwork. 👍

KOS has a special place in my heart. I went from not liking the 3d at all, to earning a top place. The fights, WORLD BUILDING, and the whole mystery of the Gauna. Good stuff

Catch Blame! on Netflix if you can, or other media access sites. Same author, and to my understanding, same 'verse, just a different part of it. Different characters. Also 3d, but very well done.

@@Debilitator47 not the same universe technically: blame is a TV show inside of the knights of sidonia universe, it's mostly just a blink and you'll miss it tongue in cheek reference.

@@BlueTeam-John-Fred-Linda-Kelly In the manga it's more clearly linked; the tv show cameo thing is just an easter egg the animators put into KoS since the same studio developed both. Toa Heavy Industries, for one, exists both in Blame and KoS, as does a lot of the tech, (not just the actual weapons/gadgets but how they're named and talked about) and the cross-species genetic stuff with the teddy bear humans. There's no crossover beyond that, though, and it's unclear where each series is on the timeline.

@@jgalt99 hmm...is the city confirmed to be connected to a planet, or is it possible that it's a free floating structure... potentially another colony ship. 🤔

@@BlueTeam-John-Fred-Linda-Kelly It's much bigger than a ship, it's at least the size of a large planet but hinted at being unfathomably vast, maybe a dyson structure or birch world. It's unlikely to be Earth and certainly not a colony ship, but the colony ships might either be the genesis of this world or people fleeing it. There's no direct crossover between the manga, just little breadcrumbs here and there.

Well, it's not really meant for those in particular... It's meant for bigger targets. It also didn't even kill the thing, as you probably figured out later. It barely even slows them down.

Yeah, the problem is this the first time anyone let alone these kids have even seen a Gauna in a hundred years ( highly recommend)

it's just the subs the ones that are wrong, as always with anything translated into english from japanese, it's just the heavy mass cannon

I remember watching fan-subbed anime back when there was almost no easy way to watch in the west. The subs were often TIGHT and some of the really good ones (I'm thinking of Knight Sabre Productions, a really good fan-sub group) even featured some cultural notes to help understand stuff that didn't so readily translate from japanese culture to english speaking.
