The screw shearing is great , to me a major selling point .Being in my 71st year , I like anything that relieves belt weight , and enables me to sideline a heavier tool . Twisting is OK , but being a Wago convert isn’t an issue very often . Hope you continue to enjoy them !

@@EngineersPerspective701 One other Hybrid I like a lot with a few caveats : Klein J218-8CR ( hybrid Lineman’s with crimper and wire stripper ) , I call them the “ Grey Boy’s ) It was my Hybrid of choice , especially when paired up with the Knipex “ Pliers for Electrical Installation “ . One downside , mine took a very long time to wear in .

5:52 Simple: Remove the spring. On my Milwaukee, I removed the spring and lock. Remember: We also have to invent

A little later you see I did the same for my Milwaukees as well! I haven’t on the Knipex because I actually ended up getting used to the spring action

Try the twin grip for twisting 3-4 wires. 👍

Agreed. Knipex lineman's are *awesome* and the milwaukee combo strippers suck. Haven't tried the main subject of the video yet though. Beauty vid👌

I watched a random review a few nights ago while waiting for my pair. I took note that this guy opened the jaws and said that it looked like his “romex stripper”. He wondered if it would be good to strip romex.. maybe even designed for that reason? I tried it at work today and it worked perfectly. Try stripping romex with one precise squeeze using the 12 solid / 10 solid section. After you give it a light squeeze, it nicks the romex in such a way that u can tug on the romex with a medium force and the whole romex sheathing just snaps off. Then maybe update video 😁

Very nice tip, will have to try that! I’ve tried using the cutters to score the sheathing but I can’t really get the middle enough to pull it free.

If I could afford the knipex okay. I love my Milwaukee pliers they work fine for me. But I don't mock the knipex they are good but expensive for me.

For sure. They are amazing to have but there are tons of tools that do the job basically just as well out there for a lot less

Hey Justin, I'm thinking of picking up the 13 72 8. How do you feel about them after nearly a year of use?

Absolutely awesome tool! One of my most used and favorites overall for sure. It’s pretty important to switch to using Wago lever nuts. Just because twisting anything more than 2 14ga wires together for a traditional wire nut is a stretch for these if you care about the quality of your work. These are amazing for any electrical work though and just so good. Love em!

@@EngineersPerspective701 awesome, thanks for that update! I'll order them right away. My wire nut stash recently ran dry and I'd been considering taking the walk on the wild side with Wago. How's the saying go? "Be the change you want to see in your home electrical system". Pretty sure it was Ghandi who coined that one. 🙂
