I use the medium sized pliers wrench every day on my job. A couple of wonderful features that you didn't mention are: 1. That they almost work like a ratcheting crescent wrench - just loosen you grip on the handles, move it to the top of your swing and grip the handles again to keep on tightening or loosening. 2. Once you have them on your fitting, bolt or nut and you have pressure in the top handle it requires little or no grip to keep them tight. As long as there is pressure on the top handle you are golden. I have actually put mine on a fitting and stood on the top handle (not even touching the bottom handle) to break it loose. The one disadvantage to them is that they are bulkier than a crescent wrench so a little more difficult to use in tight places. For what I do, they are perfect though.

Pressing small bushings into place. Also saved me on a large metric low profile aluminum bike part once. My only complaint is that I can't use them as a torque wrench.
