Good work mentioning NWS, many videos forget they even exist. I hope Knipex comes out with more accesories for the XTend feature. NWS offers a non-contact voltage detector (NWS819-4) which is super handy on sidecutters. NWS is generally underrated imo, they've always had the most comfortable handles, the best coating (the grey titanium finish) and they make the my all-time favorite sidecutters (138-69-200). They do make some bad pliers (their water pump pliers for example), but a lot of good ones.

I agree, the aesthetics of the design change conjures up an NWS vibe. I think Knipex likely went with the gray to highlight that it is new and provide an easy distinction between the current 2C handle, but it sort of hybridizes the NWS. I'm not sure I wouldn't have made the area blue for product continuity, but that is just me. The Fantastico really are good cutters AND they are priced well. I think credit had to be given for them already integrating the tether points and something I didn't mention is the massive price difference between an NWS System Clip and Knipex tethers. The voltage detector is a really smart idea...hopefully Knipex follows suit there with similar OEM offerings.

I wish they had these Xtend grips before i filled a Veto bag with the two component handles. With the handle side up, they all look pretty much the same. I tend to pull two or three out of the bag before I find what I'm looking for. Eventually I'll remember where each one lives in the bag, but those color clips would be nice.

Let me know where I need to direct the fine and I'll get the infraction written up...you can let management know that their monetary fine will be going in the Tool Fund, so they can be happy about that, lol.

I picked up a set for $62 from Amazon, but the price has went up😢 Couldn't find a 150 for a decent price. Should get it next week. I prefer a bigger over smaller anyway. Great video by the way.... I use my 200s daily.

Thanks! Yep, I think it will fluctuate awhile since they are new. Interestingly, the 6" might be in higher demand, but those already familiar might be holding out for solid info on a 3 component handle. It seems like they would have already launched it since they did both for the 10" pair, but it is MIA. It also seems crazy to come up with the 3C handle and Xtend stuff and then NOT capitalize with the 6" pair. It should have been out at launch imo. The good news is, I'd imagine the 6" price will come down over time, so you might save in the long run. The 8" really is a great primary size for this tool...head is slim enough to access most fasteners, you can generate a lot of torque in a conventional hold, and the capacity is about ideal for what it is designed to do.

Print the Mopar logo on it in blue (of course). That would be cool.

I'm not sure that isn't a better overall size given the added capacity. My only complaint with the XS is that I use a lot of 5/8" hardware.
