I am sort-a binge watching you ladies. "Sort-a" because, unfortunately, I have other duties (housework, errands, etc). I just admire your relationship and how you work together, love just about every project you both knit (and want to also knit them), and have learned something from you in each podcast. I appreciate that you share your personal lives, you both are fast becoming my virtual friends. All the things that make your podcast a favorite. With my knitting, I have so many things in common with you. I only watch a few pod casts and have always been a monogamous knitter. Since menopause, I am no longer able to multitask, so I can relate to not being able to watch podcasts and knit at the same time. Hi, from BC, Canada! Looks like a great visit to Westport Yarn- what fun running in to Kevin and Ray. I would have fan girled too. The bags look really practical and pretty too. I have soooo many WIPS and so much stash- that’s what 62 years of knitting will do to you. I like different yarns now and so much more is available. I need to do a major destash! Lol! My jam has been knitting little hooded baby sweaters for my kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, friends kids, etc. Over 1,000 made to date- always my same adapted pattern , but no two alike - a family tradition passed on from mum, who taught me to knit and made little baby layettes when new babies joined the family or friendship circle. Lots of knitting for my grandkids, but finally now knitting a few things for myself, like the first sweater for me in over 50 years. Haha! Also have started knitting socks since COVID and am still working out my favourite way- definitely magic loop for the needles- a learning journey!

We are "stranded" , that sounds worse than it actually is in reality, its just that we currently are not able to return to NZ but we are still very happy here in France, just missing some friends and of course our children and sometimes it feels a bit lonely here, anyway we are less than 2 hours north of Bordeaux! In fact we were in Bordeaux earlier this week Christmas shopping and it was great. I love Bordeaux, I think I like it more than Paris . I am sure you will love it too. Looking forward to catching up with your latest podcast and getting some more knitting done as we really need our sweaters here, unlike where we live in NZ.

Hey Westies! I am also a west coast gal. From the SF bay area and now retired and living in the PNW, OREGON! I actually work PT at a local knit shop called the Knotty Lamb in Forest Grove Oregon and Jen of the Stella design was a class instructor for us until she moved to Pennsylvania very recently. I also bought the pattern and didn't realize she was the designer till a coworker at the Knotty Lamb told me. I, like Jonna, like to have a Podcast on while knitting, allows me to feel like with my own kind of people, the yarn, fibery sort! Good luck with the podcast and my only advice is to stop worrying about how often you say something and apologizing for it, it isn't necessary. Have fun and like Cady Jax, let your true colors fly and just be yourselves.

Good for you, Kim for having stash yarn matched to patterns! I try to do the same but inevitably, before I start knitting the yarn, I change my mind about the pattern. During Covid, I am knitting sweaters from my extensive Sweater Quantity stash and it is very satisfying! And the second part was remarking simply that I didn’t fit into the 50+ demographic that you mentioned all your subscribers were from. I am in the 40-49 bracket and my intent in mentioning that is to give you kudos for a broader audience. And I am sure I am not the only one in a different demographic. I am an analyst (day job) so I look at metrics all the time so I guess that’s why the comment about your subscribers made in the video popped out to me. Bakery Bears, Penrose Knits, Edible Thoughts Makes, Potter & Bloom, Knit365blog, Urban Yarns, Drowning in Yarn, just to name a few. If you're looking for a different section 4 of the Shawlography shawl, have a look at Potter & Bloom's alternative ending. I think the episode is called something like Brilliantly Hideous. She wasn't keen on the stripes at the end either, and what she did was cohesive to the integrity of the design. I love your banter, you both work so well together.

Hello Spain!!! Hi Carmen! I bought some barber cords too but haven't tried them yet. I need to find my sweater mojo! We both live in very old (old for the US) houses and our stashes are relegated to closets. Someday, I hope to have cubbies to display all of my yarn. Since I haven't received it yet, I checked my PayPal account only to find that their website is no longer functioning. I got a refund from PayPal so I'm fine. However, I wanted to reach out to let you know to check this out or take down the link. Please let me know if I'm wrong about this. And please let me know how it turns out… Hi Kim, Thank you so much for your quick email! I did see Suzanne's paypal request for refund and responded. Her package was delayed with FedEx and is set to deliver today. Our website usually won't let someone order without an email address listed, but somehow it let her do so, so because we didn’t have an email, her tracking number was never sent to her! I'm not sure about the website error she was getting- can you check the link and let me know if it works for you? Everything seems to be working on my end, both on my desktop and phone, and I didn't get any bug reports from our server over the weekend. Can you remind me in which episode you talked about the planner so I can post there to give it a plug? The planner is great, good quality construction and lots of valuable extras in the reference section. I’m sorry to have jumped the gun and caused you an inconvenience. Here’s what I sent to Lorinda: Hi Lorinda, I just stepped outside and found my planner on the doorstep! I hadn’t heard anything (not sure how I didn’t give an email?) so I was getting concerned. When I went to PayPal to check the details, there was a website link on their page that didn’t work. So that’s why I canceled my order, because I didn’t know how to contact you. I’ll send payment today and alert PayPal that all is good and confirm your correct website. The planner is wonderful and I’m looking forward to using it to plan my days and track my projects. Kim, just wondering what yarn or technique you used for the yoke in your sweater. It’s so subtle and i think I would knit more color work yokes.

Hi Helen, I purposely wanted subtle rather than high contrast. My main color was mostly white (Haynes House “I See Blue Dots”) and my contrast color was blue (Ito Kinu “Iron Blue” silk noir) so to mellow it out and make it subtle, I held blue mohair (Isager Bright Blue silk mohair) with BOTH the main and contrast colors. Thank you, Sandra! It's the Meadow Moon by Jennifer Steingass, but I (Kim) knitted it in a very subtle color way. I held a strand of blue mohair with both the main color "I See Blue Dots" by Haynes House Yarn and the contrast color Ito Siku in Blue Denim which eliminated the high contrast yoke. I call it my sweatshirt sweater. It's so cozy and casual. I love it!
