hello! I was curious as to what length of circular needles I need to do this project? thanks! your videos are great

Hi! Generally when knitting sweaters, you want your needle to be as long or slightly shorter than the circumference of your sweater (it will be hard to knit if you have a needle that is much longer than your sweater circumference). For example, if you are knitting a sweater that is 36" around, a 32" needle would be a good fit. Hope that clears things up a bit for you!

Hi my computer is not attached to a printer and I don't know if I can put this on my Mom's computer, is it okay for me to copy the printouts by drawing/writing them myself?

Can we swatch using a different color of that same yarn type? Like for example, you swatch using orange swish worsted and knit the sweater using black swish worsted?

Hi, I just found your tutorial a few days ago. I was wondering where I can find the PDF. I just found the one for lesson 1, 3 and 4. Is there one for each lesson? Thanks a lot!

It looks like Nina is only using one circular for the sleeves, probably using the Magic Loop method. We have a video that shows you how to do that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5W2oZZmer-jpM0

Sorry to bother you, I started knitting a few weeks ago and have never done a swatch (or sweater). I am going to cast on soon for my first sweater using your lovely class, but I have read that if knitting in the round you should knit your swatch in the round. I am knitting a rather fitted sweater with a bit of negative ease. However the yarn I'm using is a superwash which I've heard stretches quite a bit (Malabrigo rios). Is the swatch flat usually very different from a faux in the round swatch? Sorry, I have no experience here ! I might just use a flat swatch and wash it, if it stretches just a bit, I will take that into account and hope it will compensate from the tighter tension when knitted in the round. Or I should only do a faux in the round swatch with a technique I found online leaving a loop which you knit every other round... I have only enough yarn for my sweater, but will maybe buy another skein (though only other colors are left in the shop, just to do the swatch if necessary). Any advice?

Hi there! Generally, you should make your swatch in the way you'll be working your project - which in this case is in the round. The reason for this is a change in tension. For example, when knitting stockinette stitch in the round you only do knit stitches instead of knitting one row and purling one row. Most people have a slightly looser tension when purling, resulting in a tighter gauge when knit in the round. However, if you are unsure and want a good fit, it's always best to do a proper swatch first :)

why cant you just put the yarn in a washable bag and wash it, then make your sweater? instead of swatching it then wash it, since you will be washing your garment on a regular basis.
