Omg I thought I was the only one having a scratchy feel from the drops kid silk because so many people are really fond of it!! Mayflower being a nicer alternative will hopefully save my itchy skin

You can add short rows right after you finish a circular yoke in the back for patterns that don't have short rows included! i usually just wing it and knit to x sts after middle, turn work, and mirror the gsrs back and forth so there's 3,4 cm of height difference in the back of the garment.

LOL I also STRUGGLED with oslo hat!!! I felt so stupid for not understanding a popular hat pattern and was almost ashamed to ask about it online. My gauge was super off as well and the hat turned wayyyy to small. I rarely frog a whole project, but this oslo hat was ripped out and re-knitted. The end result was quite cute and it was gifted to my friend :)

Hi Mandy! Your cardigan is absolutely beautiful and the color is stunning on you. Also, just wanted to say thank you for giving mini-explanations of various knitting terms & techniques (like when you explained short rows). As a new knitter, sometimes I can get lost in all of the new terminology, so your explanations are very much appreciated!

1000% yes on the Oslo construction. It was SO confusing the first time I made it. But I will say it’s worth it. I love my FO so much, and it’s definitely one of my favorites.

If you ever want to knit something else for somebody and you want easy care, try Berrocco Vintage. It comes in worsted and DK and I love it so much. It's a dream to work with and makes such a nice fabric - plus it's wool/acrylic so it's super easy care.

In one of Kim and Jonna's podcasts Jonna goes into detail about the Oslo Hat......lots of tips. Nonetheless Kim said she still had issues with the pattern and went as far as to suggest that the designer do an update with better explanations. I don't know. I knit the Oslo Hat mohair version and I don't recall any issues......that pattern had an update 🤔 Great podcast!

hi!! i really enjoyed listening to this while knitting! the oslo hat was the very first thing i ever knitted and i have made multiple since. try looking up the videos on it that kimmie munkholm has made - she is the one who makes explanation videos specifically for petiteknit's patterns! that video helped me so much the first time i knitted this pattern!
