Love the tutorial! So well explained! I think my circular knitting needles are too long (40cm) as I am having big trouble decreasing. What size would you recommend?✨🌸
@kiarashooks44411 ай бұрын
thank you :) ❤️ and when you are decreasing - the needle closest to the string attached to your yarn ball - you can pull that out to make it easier. Then you can keep working in the round. Both of your knitting needles don’t have to always be inside the yarn. (I show how to do this in my hand warmer tutorial) I tried to find smaller circular needles for when i wanna make socks but the one i bought was not good and yarn couldn’t move gracefully. Sorry don’t have any recommendations at this time 🙁

Hello i really wanna make this but i dont have chunky yarn or needles, could you suggest how much to cast on if im using 5mm needles and 3/4 weight yarn?
@kiarashooks4449 ай бұрын
Hihi ❤ (i’m not educated in all the sizes and yarn types) BUT i know that 5mm is quite small so you would need to cast on 20-30 more stitches on top of the 60! This is for a small size. I have another project with 4.5mm needles and the same yarn type as you. I counted and 80 stitches feels good but the yarn is stretchy. Hope that helps ❤ 😊

Hi dear, love this pattern
@kiarashooks444 Жыл бұрын
Ou!! I’m not sure what 45 meter spool would look like for yarn!! How thick is the yarn! (But a very small amount of yarn is needed for this project. if you’re using thick yarn and it’s over 200 yards you shud be fine!)

@@kiarashooks444 so i casted on 10 extra stitches and i can not start connecting 2 sides, coz i can see yours forms a circle coz of your short string (im not sure how it is called exactly 😬) , and my "string" is longer and my bonnet is much smaller than it. I`m sorry if it`s not clear, hard to explain 🥲. So is it possible to use long knitting needles in here with a long string?
@kiarashooks44410 ай бұрын
@@mfvnd3772 AHHH OH LOL you are referring to the top of the bonnet. So you are working on the top head piece of the bonnet. Around the timestamp 5:43, correct? 1 option: Ok, if you casted on too many stitches you’ll have to make decreases OR start the top part over. You don’t want to cast on 10 extra stitches ontop of what you need to cast on. Unless the forehead area is larger. 2nd option: are you using knitting needles or circular knitting needles? If you are using regular knitting needles for the top of the hat - it won’t work. Unless you’re knitting needles are short and don’t have a stopper at the end. Allowing you to work in a circle. Let me know if either of those help ❤
@mfvnd377210 ай бұрын
I am using circular ones, but mine are longer than yours. Yes, I’m talking about this top part. So your sides are able to be connected, coz you have shorter needles, but mine are bigger and I can not connect two sides. Something like that, I’m sorry for taking your time, but I really want to figure it out!! 😢 So is it possible to go on with circular but long needles?
@kiarashooks44410 ай бұрын
@@mfvnd3772 wonderful!! Great, I totally understand you now ❤ The answer is yes!! You just need to pull the wire on your circular needles through ur stitches to shorten it and then you can adjust it. Here, go to this video below at timestamp: 4:52 kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGTIanSvhretesksi=LKoAuFQo_3xNVZbw and you will see me do it! You will want to do the same thing!!

@kiarashooks44411 ай бұрын
@@arditaavdija6614 hihi welcome back :) from timestamp 6:50 onward, you want to knit 2 and then decrease 1 (decreasing 1 is gathering 2 stitches and turning it into 1 stitch). You will do that until the circle is very small. good luck!!! almost there!!
