(Knit bonnet) For anyone confused on the decrease section check the description of the video as it has the correct way to do the calculations! I found that for my project it was 9 decreases over 10 rows, so i decreased 9 rows and then knitted one more row without decreases and it worked perfectly and was 2.5 inches long! Hope this helps :)

i crochet and i dont think i'll knit again but i like watching these bc i kinda just translate all the instructions to crochet if that makes sense? like now i'm gonna crochet a bonnet w these instructions
@averpaula11 ай бұрын
I love that! I think it makes you think so much more creatively if you’re able to look at instructions and make them your own

I'm late but I just finished my bonnet. It turned of wonderful and it's so satisfied to finally put it on my head. 'd love to do the decrease like in the video but unfortunately I couldn't figure it out 😅 Beside that everything's great. Tks for the vid ❤❤❤

love this series! It definitely motivates me to get into knitting, I've been crocheting for a bit but I haven't been able to stick with any knitting projects long enough but this seems like a perfect project to try again!

I felt the same when I first started knitting, I seemed to always gravitate back to crocheting. It took some time but now they are both very equal crafts and I never get bored of either of them because i’ll just pick up the other one 😊

Hay love your videos ❤, is there please any way to make the bonnet through crocheting?, I have only just learnt crochet so don’t want to get into knitting yet but love that pattern it looks so cute.
@averpaula11 ай бұрын
Hey, you can still follow the measurements that I have given, but with crocheting instead e.g crochet ribbing (back loop only hdc) and hdc for the main body :)

somehow I can't make the measurements for the bonnet work. if I have a swatch, 20x20 stitches, that is 6inch in width and 4 inch in length, with the provided calculations I'll get 10 stitches to cast on and 5 rows y= 6inch/ 12 = 0.5 stitches to cast on = 0.5 x 20 can anyone assist :) ? (love all your videos btw :-) )
@averpaula11 ай бұрын
this just made me realise I gave the calculations the wrong way around !!!!! It’s meant to be like this: 12 : swatch width = y y x swatch stiches = cast on So you should get 40 stitches for your cast on, and 40 rows to knit (your swatch measurements are basically half of what the bonnet needs to be) I’m gonna try and correct this in the video, thank you for pointing it out ❤️

Thanks so much for this! I’m trying to crochet the hat but I keep losing Stiches in the process - and I don’t know how! Is there a tricky part to it? Where is more likely to lose stitches?
@kalijohnston5612 ай бұрын
its super easy to loose stiches by missing the last stitch at the end of the row/first stitch of a new one. those stitches are made when you chain to turn, so they can be tighter and hard to spot!

hi! i absolutly love the bonnet🤩 do you know how many grams did you need? i have 100g of yarn for the stockinette part and would love to do use two strands to make it chunkier. Do you think that 50grams will be enough? im using yarn that i cannot but more of😰

Yes for sure! You can follow the measurements that i gave for the bonnet, but instead of knitting you crochet every part to match those measurements :)
