My husband also is a woodworker and he has made me so many wonderful things. His latest fiber related gift was a stand for majacraft rigid heddle loom. I just showed him picture, and of course he had the loom to work with also. He gets me. I am so fortunate.

That bowl is gorgeous!! Also I agree about social media. I've been limiting my scrolling over the last year or so and I've found that my mental state is so much better and I have so much more creativity to give to the world. Trying to do more living and less looking at everyone else's life.

Limiting the social media has been good for me. I was scrolling while i shook my head over how much time people spend there. Time to fix my own behavior instead of thinking about what other people are doing. So silly Of me

Love the scarf! The poncho is really cool too - I don't knit (I've tried it but I prefer crochet) but I've done some crochet cable projects. I'm a fan of layering handmade items!

Thanks! I like crochet too. When I got married the first time, I crocheted and used fabric stiffener to make about 250 snowflakes that I gave away as favors at my wedding. I think that might have crocheted me out for the most part 😜

Trish, tell your "best friend" I love the yarn bowl. I am lucky also, my husband has always encouraged me in my arts and crafts. His "art" is woodworking, blacksmithing and other metalwork. I can show him a tiny little picture of what I need for my house or my fiber equipment/crafts and he heads out to his large "man cave" and makes me it. Love all your completed projects in this video. One day I hope to be able to accomplish your cable work. I just started knitting one year ago this month and am finally doing a simple shawlette which has two cable rows (c6f) in it and I am all excited it is turning out nice. It will take me awhile to do cables without holding them. I was having a hard time with the cable holders I had bought trying to knit the stitches, but found just using a large paper clip made it easier. Thanks for sharing all you do.

It really doesn’t matter if you change something or knit the exact pattern you are an artist. If I could make a perfect copy of the Mona Lisa I still have the artistic ability to paint as long as you don’t call it an original it’s still art

Trish, you look so amazing today! and that scarf!!! heart eyes.... concerning limiting your time on social media, I had to make that same decision last year. Facebook pretty much took over my life and I had to close my account for a while. It's habit now to only log onto FB once a day or less, and even though I have the app on my phone, I don't stay logged in and I don't get notifications, so no need to constantly check. Other than that, I have instagram and that's it. I spend a LOT of time on IG before getting a new phone, so working on limiting that as well. Again, no notifications has made a huge difference. Keep up the good work! I'm so proud of you and your growth as a person, as a fiber artist, and as a youtuber. Also, I've watched every single one of your videos and I'm trying to figure out which ones are not good... I love them all. Not saying this to make you feel better, I really mean it. All your videos are awesome and I've even gone back and re-watched a bunch of them. I love seeing how you do things and often (always) drool over your batts. You are an inspiration to me and watching your videos helps keep me motivated with my own projects and my channel videos. Thanks for sharing all your crafty/art stuff with us! HUGS!!!

Aw, thank you so much. I think i am just a lot harder on every little detail than other people are on me. This is why bring a perfectionist can really paralyze me, but putting things out even when i don't feel they are perfect had really helped me. ❤

I'm looking for a starter spinning wheel, I've seen a nano electric spinning wheel as I have neck issues, but I've not been able to find out any information on getting one! Can you help? I wouldn't mind having a regular spinning wheel, but I need some help with finding a decent wheel for a reasonable price, any information you can provide me with would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your time and help! Have A Blessed Day All!
@FiberLoveDiary
@FiberLoveDiary 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dawn. I thought I had answered previously that I could give you more info if you would email me and describe your limitations and price range, etc. I think each brand has a wheel that would fall into the starter category. I'm not an expert, and I have next to no experience with the nano, so I can't really help you there, but I do think that starting with an electric wheel can be problematic for a lot of people.
