In this video, I demonstrate how to correct the "stair-steppy" jog you get when knitting stripes in the round. For one-round stripes, see the link below for Helix Knitting.
The other videos in my slo-mo series can be found here:
• Slow-Motion Techniques
The yarn I use for demonstration is Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Chunky.
The needles I use are from interchangeable sets:

If you are working one round stripes, the technique is different. You can see my video on Helix Knitting here: • Knitting Help - Helix ...
The hooded cape on the mannequin is Lost in a Dream Cape from Kraemer Yarns:

The hat I use for demonstration is just something I made up for the video. Here are the quick instructions to make this baby hat, because I know someone will ask. :)
Fits 0-8 mo
Bulky yarn, size US 10 (6mm) needles.
CO 60, work 5 rounds 2x2
change color and knit 4 rounds
alternate color every 4 rounds until hat measures 5" from cast-on edge (that was the ribbing plus 4 rounds of stripes or 16 rounds, for me). On the last round of this section, place a marker every 12 stitches.
Decreasing
Round 1: k2tog, k to 2 stitches before marker, ssk, sm repeat between markers to end of round.
Round 2: knit
Repeat these two rounds until 10 stitches remain, k2tog around, knit 1 round. Cut yarn and string through the remaining 5 stitches.
