Hi, i'd just like to say, as a nurse who works in a breast unit, i'm so chuffed you are doing vlogs and showing how adaptable you are with your wips. I was going to set up a knit and natter group for pre and post op patients, just as a get together, but also using knitting and crochet as a form of physio. Unfortunately COVID hit and that's been on the back burner. Well done cariad x

I love your content no matter what you talk about! If people don’t want to watch then they can watch something else… I mean seriously do people actually think they have the right to complain about this? You are sharing your making and your life and they ask you to do something different? Um, no - just keep being your fabulous self and sharing whatever you want. I am here for any and all things. Also if you feel uncomfortable exposing your scar then that’s perfectly ok. If however you feel that you will make others uncomfortable then please don’t give it a second thought. You are a warrior who fought cancer and won. Wear those scars like the hero you are and if people are uncomfortable then they can stuff it!!!

Michelle. I have just got to the end. Ist of all, I’m a bit annoyed that people would complain about your vlogs. If they don’t like them, then they shouldn’t watch them. I actually enjoy all your content! For me, watching a podcast is more about the person presenting than the content. You are a sweet, courageous lady who is also a very considerate and deep thinker ... and that is refreshing. I laugh when watching your videos, because I can totally relate, I am dabbling with making videos myself and often come across the same thing (like looking back at the video and seeing my heads chopped off). I’m really happy to hear of your up coming move, don’t feel bad about the previous owners, I’m sure they will just be happy someone loves and cares for their home as much as they did over the years. Take care and have a nice time in Scotland xx

I so appreciate your episodes! You have such a wonderful, gentle sense of humor! And your honesty about your knitting encourages me to keep going, even when I'm not quite sure what mess I've gotten myself into. You are an encouragement to others. Your sharing your journey with having a different body shape following cancer is so refreshing! Please continue to honor your health, and to take care of yourself through moving house. Thank you!!

Michelle, this is your content. Viewers can tune in or not so you do you. Those of us who love you would watch you read a phone book ❤️. Re your wide necked sweater, after your trip, could you pick up the neckline and knit more rib with decreases therefore making it less gape-y? Or a close fitting tank top underneath?? I hope you enjoy wearing it on your trip to Scotland. Looking forward to your moving blogs. We downsized from a house to a flat a few years ago - that was hard but so worth living with less. Good luck, looking forward to your next blog/vlog/content.

Hi Michelle, I also just finished watching all your episodes and your vlog over easter. I really enjoyed every bit of it! And as it was said before, you really don't have to explain why you are doing what you like doing. People should be happy for all the work and thoughts you put into all your content and shouldn't complain. That's just rude. You are so calm, thoughtful and strong, you really inspire me to be positive even if not everything in life is as I hoped for. Watching podcasts like yours helps me to focus on what's important. I also like to see all the different crafts and projects you are showing us and it's not about the amount of knitting or making we manage to do in a certain period time. It's about sharing things we love ♥ All the best to you, your family and the upcoming changes in your life! Greetings from Austria, Carina

Hi Michelle, really enjoy your videos and enjoy your confidence. As a fellow flattie (treatments 2015/16) with no reconstruction I completely relate to the issues of bending forward in many tops. I have a ready to wear sweater with a neckline like the Folksy. I wear a snug tank top under and safety pin hidden) the shoulder straps to the sweater. I am rather tiny so it also helps keep the sweater on my shoulders. Enjoy your travels.

Thank you for another lovely episode. You will give that new home so much love and a whole new life. So much better than having it fall into disrepair or have someone take it down to build a new house. The house is lucky you found it 🍀❤️. As to your new sweater, you have such nice square shoulders that I bet many necklines are flattering. I can’t wait to see a photo of it. Although I have not been through breast surgery, I am quite flat chested, so I can relate to the issues of fit on the flat side. But I imagine the contrast of going from large bust to none is very challenging. You are such a calm and lively woman, it’s always enjoyable and inspiring to see your podcasts. Happy Easter and I can’t wait to see the Billie.

I have just come across your wonderful vlogs a few weeks ago and have been catching up on your life. They are brilliant and I wouldn’t change a thing . This is you and you are lovely. Always remember that. As the mother of a daughter who had breast cancer ten years ago and problems about five years ago ( all clear now thank goodness) I can fully understand where you are coming from in being careful in what you use etc. I have a summerhouse in our garden because when we downsized there wasn’t enough room for my craft room. This room is my happy place and maybe, in time, that might be an idea for your garden. Then you can have your woolly stash away from the main house. Or even the girls can study in it when they need quiet times. How lovely you are buying a place which has had one owner. This means the oldies were very happy there and it is the perfect spot for you and your family. The old couple will be thrilled when they “look down” and see what you are going to do to their old home. We were only the third owner of our old house ( the first was the builder) and that was over 100 years old. Boy did we have to do lots but it was worth it and your new place will be. Enjoy your camper jolly this weekend and see you soon. Take care 🧶🧶

I had a lot of acrylic yarn leftovers from knitting dog sweaters too. I discovered that there was a knitting club at my sister’s elementary school and they gladly took the scraps! I was so happy at the thought of maybe helping start some new knitters on a wonderful adventure. I’m afraid I’m one of those crazy dog owners who puts sweaters on my dog. 😂 But at least mine wears only wool and he’s quite particular about his style! 😂 All the best! I love your podcast.

I am enjoying your podcast and agree with everyone that says to continue with your honest, sweet, attitude and the hell to everyone else! But what I really wanted to comment on was your knitting the dog sweater for your in-laws spoiled Shih Tzu. I am the owner of a nearly 15 year old Shih Tzu who absolutely loves sweaters. We live in Southern California and the weather rarely gets really cold by comparison to so many other places in the world, but my dog wears a sweater for nearly 6 months a year by HIS OWN CHOICE! We were not the type who dressed up our dogs, and my husband was especially was against it. But once when he was pretty young we had a very cold snap, and he was just shaking from the cold, so we got him a cheap little sweater and he was so happy. After a few days it warmed up so we went to take it off and he grabbed it back. All these years later, we keep his sweaters (hand knit now LOL) in a basket where he can get to them, and he will actually go get one out of the basket and bring it to me to put it on him. Little dogs don't seem to regulate their temps as well as larger dogs. Don't feel too bad about the dog - if an animal does not want a sweater put on them they will do everything they can to avoid it being put on them, or scratch and pull at it to try to get it off! So if the dog is wearing it and seems comfortable, he is probably enjoying the extra warmth!

I really look forward to your podcasts and love following your journey. Try to go easy on yourself, you aren't being judged. I have an enormous amount of acrylic yarn but feel I can't waste it. Of course I don't have your health issues but I have my own. I much prefer to knit in and to wear wool. I like your folksy sweater although the neck is very wide. If you have knit the neck on at the end you could unpick it and decrease the number of stitches before starting the rib. Alternatively, and I've done this myself, you could try a round of single crochet on the edge of the neck done fairly tightly. This would draw the neck in a bit and prevent it from stretching out. Of course, you may find, when you try it on, that you love how it looks. My main craft is knitting which I love to do every day but I would like to branch out too. The days go in so quickly though. I'm glad you're getting a break and going to Scotland. I look forward to seeing your vlogs. Stay well, stay content and I'll see you soon

Very much enjoy your podcast and your sincere content! There are many of us out here that have much in common with what you have been through. How about a quick knit tank top ala Jessie Maed under your sweater? You could use a bit of leftover yarn or any other yarn that is comfortable next to your skin and you can make it with negative ease. The straps showing are part of the whole look--don't even try matching colors! I rely on layering these crop tops under shirts to allow me to feel comfortably covered.

2 ideas about the scoop neckline. You can wear a small silk scarf around your neck and tuck it inside the sweater, then there is no gap when you lean forward. You can wear a spanx tank top, which is for fitting, under it in nude and if you lean forward all one would see is the high school tank

I love watching your podcast 😍It is not about the aesthetic because I like bright colours (that might seem appalling to you 😅😉 I am just joking!💙) But it is about your approach to life. I have to live simple and slowly too. It was not by choice at first, but I have embraced it. My priorities are so clear and that is so rewarding. I get a vibe from you too, that you know what is really important to you and what you choose to invest in. I am here for that (and the knitting 😃) Oh and yes, I usually don't really like vlogs and my lightbulb solution is to just not watch them 💡Many people do like it, and I am happy you enjoy making content for them! 👍

I just finished the Maja Cardigan and had the same problem with the neckline being too large. I fixed the problem by adding three lines of small round elastic on the inside of the ribbing. It is a no risk fix. If it didn't work I could take it out. However, it did work.

Hi Michelle , I think your jumper is beautiful and You might like what I do with this neckline ..I wear a cotton / spandex blend of camisole , some have soft bras with or without cups , with or without padding so it's very practical. They also are sold with no bra at all inside . They are really useful for lots of sheer tops or too low cut for my taste , etc- I like the ones I've gotten from Amazon - because they had a lot of choices in style , colors etc , made well and ver well priced :) Hope you find your favorite new style and ways to wear your old favs ♥️

Hi Michelle ,I haven't had surgery but I have small shoulders so find necklines slip down or are too wide and gape . I found a podcaster called Cori Eichelberger on you tube that has a tutorial to bring neckline in . It might help till you find the perfect solution for you ? . As to the sleeve separation ! I don't know if this is any good .but before you separate could you pick up first lot off stitches then the number of sleeve stitches then pick up last of stitches required and end then start working the body ! . I don't know if any of this is helpful sorry. But I do love watching your podcast my dad was from Hexham and I find your voice so calming and relaxing , the north East accent is a happy calming one for me. I hope your new home is all you dream of for you and your family. ( Like you we have a loft space I use as a craft room with no heating as such, but we keep a dehumidifier up there to periodically air the space from damp which makes the heater less work to heat up space, but in summer it also helps keep humidity down as it gets very hot up there if that makes any sense at all !?) Enjoy your Easter in Scotland xx
