I love how you explain why certain things are useful when you’re always cold I’m always cold - and you’ve opened my eyes to considering a small scarf! Thank you 😊

Hi Sophie. thanks for a lovely podcast. I was knitting on a dk merino self dyed Copenhagen Calling cowl whilst listening and watching your podcast. You are great company. LOVE your Lene Holme Samsoe sweater - just beautiful - lovely knitting and you suit it. Frustrating when things we knit are scratchy isn't it? We learn which yarns we love eventually I guess ha. Looking forward to your next podcast. 🥰

Thanks for stopping by :) I must say that I have been loving the sweater on cooler days and with a thin layer underneath. But I am definetly still on the hunt for the softest mohair... 🥰

You’ll find that even the softest yarn will start to itch when you’re warm. I’m sure you won’t have issues with the mohair being itchy in winter. I’ve used it and only react to it when it’s warm. Quite a few people find it a bit scratchier than other mohair because it has some wool content!

You are so right... :) I´ve worn it since and the mohair wasnt an issue at all! I´ll wear a layer underneath in winter anyways. Maybe I gor a little too exited about my finished sweater and wor it on the wrong day...

I love knitting with de rerum natura too but my grown daughter’s cuffs were breaking a little too. I reinforced the hard wear areas with some matching sewing thread and blanket stitch along the edges which is invisible but hopefully I will have less repairs in the future. It is still my favourite soft, real wool yarn though. First time watching the podcast, lovely 😊

Thank you for your lovely message! The idea with the sewing threads is something I will keep in mind for my next project using this fiber.

Normalky we knit into the front loop. By knitting into the back loop of the stitch reduces holes. It twists the stitch. Its really what the modern term - twisted rib - which is exactly the same. Correct me if I am wrong.
