I absolutely loved Knives Out; it’s not only one of the best movies from last year- it’s one of the best films we’ve ever had in the genre. Rian Johnson has delivered yet again- showing how he can achieve great original films just as phenomenally as he achieves great films in pre-established franchises [such as Star Wars with The Last Jedi]. 🤗 I’m eagerly anticipating the sequel!

The shot with the mill, the laundromat, johns cleaners, the movie theater, and a few other shots where shot on my hometown.

"Easiest movie of 2019 for me to recommend" (so far). I 100% agree on that! Very good acting, twists, pace and humour.

Lol that ant analogy, nice to see Jay again. I kinda didn’t want this film to end, fully engaged throughout the whole thing.

A few people I've talked to say enjoyed the movie but think it'll feel dated in a few years. I think it's true to a degree but also kinda the point since it's an encapsulation of America at the moment

How is Alma, Mr. Woodcock?

I think what could date the movie is that it might spawn imitations or make the genre trending again, where the film’s style and subversions become echoed by others to the point where they’ll become the “norm” and not as subversive. Which is something to be proud of if it creates inspiration in turn. But yeah, potentially can be dated if in a few decades time, someone watches this “classic” hearing it had unique twists back in the day, only to them it wouldn’t be unique any more. Still, it’s a compliment

Watched it last night, fantastic film! My theater had a blast watching it! So much funnier than I had anticipated! Made me a Rian Johnson fan.

david mckesey yes yes it is. It would be a crime if it doesn’t win Best Original Screenplay.

david mckesey it’s good if u wanna see a fun film. Doesn’t have much depth and the tone is fairly inconsistent. Nothing on any of Agatha Christie’s Whodunnit’s. Great performances though

Can someone tell me if the movie is a Trump bash fest?

No, it's not. It takes digs at extreme left and extreme right, but that's only the surface of it

What on earth gave you that idea?
@brandonreed095 жыл бұрын
@@richfictionfighter some would characterize Ana's character as an illegal immigrant that stole the families inheritance. Obviously she isn't an illegal immigrant, her mom is an undocumented immigrant and she didn't steal the inheritance, it was given to her. That's a nice parallel to the political situation in America today and is definitely connected to the Trump campaign.
