Shyamalan sometimes have great ideas on concept but extremely poor in execution. As someone who has read the book, I always wondered who will play Leonard. To me, he is the most interesting character. Crazy, but also loving. Never would have thought of Bautista to be playing Leonard, but oh man, his casting is spot on. Big, hulking dude who has very much a psychopath storyline but also has a loving heart. This is gonna be a good portrayal.

Different doesn't always mean it's guarantee gonna be good. If it's good, it's good. If it's bad, it's bad. He's a hit and miss filmmaker, Old had a lot of potential and the idea on paper was really interesting but was really bogged down by its execution with corny dialogue and some wooden acting. Fresh new ideas is great but fresh new ideas with great execution is even better. Granted, he's definitely not a terrible filmmaker either. Just wish he executed his interesting ideas a lot better. It's a shame that the ideas are good but wasted

Sequels and reboots aren't a bad thing if they could done it well, one of them is the recent Top Gun Maverick or The Batman anyways. It's like imagine you look at a restaurant menu, see a food that looks delicious in the meny but was served a poorly made food that taste disgusting, not exceed your expectations, of course you're gonna be dissapointed so yeah execution always matters in a movie. Again "Old" was a pretty fresh idea but was bogged down with corny dialogue and some wooden acting so that's really a waste of time

Andrew only shoots one would be killer in the eye and by the end of the book there's only two killers left and they kill each other. It's open-ended and it leaves it up to you to interpret whether their predictions were correct but it doesn't matter.

I really do love M. Night movies. Even if they’re terribly and super cringe at times, I feel like he’s one of those rare directors (like a Nolan) that simply gets to make whatever movie he wants to make and it’s gets a mainstream platform theatrical release. The man, for better or worse, has never comprised on his choices for the last 20 years of filmmaking. Not an endorsement of his bad films (we can all agree he’s made some horrible Dreck) but I can’t help but be excited when he puts a new movie out that is specifically his style.

I once heard three loud knocks on my front door at 3 am. I was right next to my front door and when i heard them, i turned around and i could see through the window of my front door that there was absolutely no one. I quickly glanced outside and there was no one at all. This only happened once and never again. Guess they changed their mind about me be the chosen one but jokes aside, this spooked me and ever since then, i get a little paranoid at night time and look at the windows from time to time.

Okay, I really loved the book, and when I heard that it was being adapted into a film I was really skeptical, but I have to admit that this looks pretty good! The characters don’t look how I imagined them, but honestly that’s not something that matters to me. I just hope that they stay true to the beautifully-grim plot of that novel by Paul tremblay!

i love trailers like this that catches your attention by the mood of the music, how the music switches into something ominous, uses sounds as beats with physical action and doesn't show you much of what the movie may be about. especially since this is from M Night Shyamalan i cant wait it to see the twist and turns. and since there's 2 other screenwriters it might be better since he has his own unique way to end his films, this might be different and actually good.

Someone pointed out a great detail. Bautista and his cohorts are wearing shirt colors that symbolize the four horsemen of the apocalypse. From left to right. Black for Famine. Yellow in place of Pale for Death. Bautista is wearing a white shirt for Conquest. And the guy in red represents War.

God damn this looks good. This is how trailers for horror movies should be done. They probably showed only the first 25 minutes of the movie tops and showed only what they needed to to catch audiences attention. Can’t wait to see it.

i noticed nearly 10 yrs ago that if Dave Bautista is in a film, any film, it'll be well worth my while to watch it. and he has never let me down, Hotel Artemus, Gardians of the Galaxy, Chronicles of Riddick, even in the Bladerunner update which just left me flat, his performance was nuanced and memorable. I really, really love what Batista is doing with his career. His acting gets better and better and he doesnt let himself get typecast into the big unstoppable brute in every film. I think he could someday be nominated for a performance.

The family's love for each other was so pure, the way andrew was silent throughout the journey with his daughter after Eric 's demise shows that the reality of the situation hasn't sunken in for him yet😢 such a beautiful family who had to go through a tragedic ending. I hate it.
