Knocking off the Rust

Just a fun little engagement playing with V69 Flyboys and my Step Bro BlackMajic. We were playing on BlackMajic's server that runs a sort of dynamic campaign where we select missions and go try to complete them. Each successful mission you earn some XP and the XP improves your rank within the server so you can show off your e-peen to your friends.
I am trying out some new VR recording settings so let me know what you think. I know VR is not everyone's favorite way to consume YT content, but I feel like these settings do a good job with clarity and reduced head jitter.
In this engagement I splash 2 bandits, perform a decent landing for someone who hasn't played a lot of DCS in a while and then some fun banter with the fellas.

The clarity of the recording is fine and you're not twitching all over the place like a drug fiend. The only slight downside would be that it's hard to see what's going on on the MFDs because the FOV is so wide and that might be an issue for A2G videos.

Welcome back! Just in time for 2.9, in two weeks... It will probably be this Wednesday though. Something I noticed is that the JHMCS is offset in the recording. I expect that this is it being set to left eye. If setting it to both centers it, you might want to set that for recording at least.

0:23 Looks absolutely decent. I wish I had DCS that sharp in VR myself... what headset do you use? I guess it would maybe make more sense to catch a smaller FOV with the recording that represents the FoV you actually have in the headset. BTW, it doesn't seem centered, looks like you're taking footage of the right eye, judging the position of the JHMCS symbology. I've seen that before with recordings done with a Pimax, like the 8kx. Especially in that case it might be better to crop the footage so that the symbology is centered, so it won't look like you're a flying Derpy Hooves (I begin to see what I did there... she's a pegasus after all, and in case you probably don't know, she's wall-eyed) 5:10 Getting XP and probably leveling up in a DCS server... now I've seen it all! XD PS: Haven't really been flying in ages as well. That update back in November basically nuked my framerate completely and even the MT update didn't fix it... bein sub-30fps in a G2 @CV1 res (basically rendering at 1/4 of what it should typically do) on a 5800x, 64GB, 3070 just doesn't cut it for me and it's even worse with the Quests. Tried everything, can't fix it. Any other game or sim runs like butter...
