I absolutely love Saturday mornings, coffee and Garage Gear review, what more can ya ask for? JB, your reviews are awesome brother. Whats weird is i put one of these in my Amazon cart on Tuesday. Ive been on the edge about this mainly because i only have my rider blades and pusher blades. Do you think ot would be a good investment for just 3 blades? One more question? What should a spark plug look like when you have a perfectly tuned trimmer or blower? Maybe you can make a video on a good looking plug and a poorly tuned trimmer/blower plug? Have a great weekend and week ahead my friend

Hey Gary! First off appreciate the positive feedback! Thanks for the kind words! I would recommend the sharpener! It saves me a bunch of time and trouble since it holds my grinder at the perfect angle everytime. A bunch of blades goes quick once you set your angles! As far as plugs go I clean mine usually once a season. A normal plug for me is usually a little dark or fouled. Not all gooped up or anything. Hope this makes sense. Have a good weekend bud!

I have the $10.00 HF angle grinder mentioned and use coarse flap wheel to sharpen mine. You clamp the blades down and push the flap wheel over its edge. I just got one. I haven't used it yet, but I noticed the same thing while just working the arms. Reading the maintenance instructions, it's clear that they didn't apply the required Loctite to the threads of those bolts to hold tension. Instructions say tighten 1/8 turn more after the cup washers seat. I just bought some knockoff Loctite at Harbor Freight for 1/4 the name brand cost 😂 and reassembled the rig. I'll know soon whether this works. We're not the first--I've seen similar comments in Amazon reviews.
@mikec694723 күн бұрын
Just following up on my comment above. After applying thread locker to the pivot bolts and waiting a day, I tried it for touching up a new blade, and after adjusting to center my grinder and for matching the edge angle (turned out 35 degrees) it worked fine. No more loose pivot joints.

I got in the habit of always having a spare blade for my mower (currently an 80v Kobalt, which has been working great for the past 5 years). That way I can sharpen the spare blade and have it ready to swap at a moment's notice so I can mow when I want and sharpen the blade when I want.
