Jae- very very very versatile. I rather work with one of my daughters who have 4b-4c then my other daughter who is 4a/3c. My daughter with 4a/3c it curls up every time I put water, gel whatever in is soooo annoying that when she was younger I cut it short and brushed it straight.; she can't wear styles other than wash in go or cornrows.

T G it’s not necessarily more labor though. Texture differences are not parallel to labor. It’s a matter of skill and time management. Also adding an extra fee based on hair type is another form of colorism and division in the black community. But do carry on.

I feel like the knotless braids are way less heavier that the original box braiding technique. Instead of grabbing a whole glob, you just gradually add in the hair.

knotless box braids move freely right after they're done, no pain. Regular box braids you have to take ibuprofen and wait a week before you pull them up 😂😂

I'm so happy that I came across your video about this particular braided style. I love how you add the hair under & not over because this is how I do my Feed In Cornrows. That technique works perfect for me & other videos I watched they added the hair over the top of the clients hair which doesn't work for me. Any type 4 hair a lot times get discriminated on by some stylists. Saying we can’t get certain unless it’s straightened because it won’t look good or be as slick and stuff. My only thing is back in the day natural hair was the only hair to work with at one point. I appreciate you as a stylist for doing all types of hair and styles. That makes a real stylist in my book. This is the best video I’ve seen and you’ve made so many great points about women with 4c feel like styles aren’t achievable on their hair. That’s exactly how I feel. I had found a stylist where I’m free and I heard she’s great but she charges more based on the texture of your hair and I thought it was a little unfair because I can’t help the way my hair is. I wanted to get knotless braids and I would’ve had to pay $400 bc my hair is 4c.

I have 4c hair and I can happily say that my hair is as versatile as I allow it to be. It just may take a lot more time and effort because my hair is so thick and coily. Also, I’ve been doing my own braids and twist since the 11th grade and I never blow my hair out. I simply stretch it for a few days first by braiding it right after it’s been freshly washed and moisturized. Just thought I’d throw that out there for anyone who feels like they have to use heat on their hair to achieve certain styles.
