Knov's infiltration scene is one of my favorite most underrated scenes of the series. The tension, the fear, everything was so well done. And the fact that Knov breaks down puts into perspective the gravity of the En that Killua and Gon had to experience the first time with Pitou and Kite. I love how Togashi showed that people, even really strong ones, digest trauma in different ways. What a masterpiece of a show.

I'd even argue that Gon and Killua had it worst, because they experienced Pitou's Ren infused with malice and intent to kill since he had no reason to activate En during the attack on Kite.

To be honest, Knov actually had a way worse time. Like... incredibly much worse. Even someone on Hisoka's level while not really trying much could have seriously killed Gon and Killua when they had no Nen to cover themselves. Now here is Knov, using Zetsu to hide himself and taking Pouf's Nen at full blast. It is more surprising he isn't a gibbering mess that can never function again.

I always loved that scene. It makes the viewer aware that Pouf is truly a force to be reckoned with, and most viewers could be forgiven for not even thinking about him up until this point. It’s where Pouf enters the spotlight, and he never leaves afterwards.

ayoub bouras Well, the whole point of Pouf’s character is that he’s a walking contradiction. He seeks to do what the king needs, by blatantly disregarding what the king asks of him. He refuses to accept that the king is not the idealized version of the king he had in his head, that being an emotionless killer, yet Pouf himself is prone to outbursts of extreme emotions. Pouf would never use his powers in a way that wouldn’t directly help the kind. And in his mind, helping the kind means keeping him on the path that Pouf believes the king should be on.

Another thing to remember is the fact that Knov is a experienced Hunter. Once he gets a glance at a strong aura, he can read the intent and he knows what the weilder is most likely to do. That's actually why he mocked Killua previously. Because all Killua told them was "I can't see you beating that thing. The aura was so strong." A more experienced Hunter would have read the emotions of Pitou in that situation aswell. And Knov could do that with Pouf's En. A aura almost bursting with Pouf's hatred of humanity, something Pitou didn't have. Filled with Pouf's complete lack of compromise when it came to the idealistic King, something Pitou didn't have. Filled with Pouf's complete madness, something that Pitou doesn't have. What Knov saw was his what he knew would happen. His death and every single way it could occur. Compare that to Killua and Gon not even noticing Hisoka's En in Heaven's arena and you get a good idea about the difference experience makes when it comes to Nen.

Killua and Gon weren't using Zetsu, thus they could withstand Pitou's aura way better than Knov. He was using Zetsu so he was completely vulnerable to Pouf's En. Most people fail to realize this and I feel like RT TV didn't realize it as well.

No Rob. Gon and killua couldnt face Pitous because of willpower but because 1. They had the numbers advantage 2. More importantly they were with Kite. He was the first top-class hunter they have met according to them and he is Gings student so they may have felt safer Actually forget all that because Killua wanted to get the fuck out of town as soon as Pitou arrived. And Gon is a little bit crazy and stops thinking and just acts out of pure emotion. No willpower

Remember that Zetzu cancels the aura and Wing already said that without a protection of nen before a hatsu or expression of aura at that level a person could die.

Knov can put the shoes in the portal but he can't clean the whole blood without wasting time he doesn't know he has so it doesn't really matter at whether or not he leaves the shoes. If someone find the shoes, they'd have found the blood anyway. Plus it's not entire clear how his portals work, if they disappear in order of creation he might not want to mess up with additional portals so as to not have to recreate some he already created, especially since it's always a risk near the palace, not sure about that one though.
