Do you remember in chimera ant arc how Knov and Morel concluded that vice president (that is paristion) was trying to subvert the chimera ant hunt so that Netero takes the blame. Also think that chimera ant queen herself said that she had some human genes in her, and she conveniently ended up in Mitene Union, one of the most isolated continent in this world. There is strong theory that Paristan created the chimera infestation (by making a human size chimera queen and putting her in a remote area) to create a big enough trouble for netero to at least take a blame for millions of casualties. It is already mentioned that he tried his best to hinder Netero's team to contain ants. And here we finally see him again taking control of the ant cocoons for his political gains

I don't think Pariston necessarily wanted to Netero to take the blame. I think he expected Netero to come back from that mission. As it was mentioned that they're relationship was basically them just fucking with eachother. Pariston did have influence over the hunters that were sent to NGL but as far as wanting him to take the blame for it i think that was another party.

Pariston enjoyed Netero but he also wanted to gain control of the association. The faction which we saw ordering Netero might be under Pariston's pocket because we know how much influence he has over the HA.

3:15 Hisoka might be evil in any other anime, but not in HxH, at least not in the traditional sense. In the Netero (the peak of humanity) and Meruem (the peak of chimera ants) fight, we saw that everyone has a little evil in them, but that doesn't necessarily make them bad people. Just thought I'd clarify that.

Hisoka is definitely evil. He is not cartoonishly evil who just wants to kill innocents, but he will kill anyone who he thinks is a good fighter. That is fucked up. He is a predator to a child who has no intention to fight him, yet Hisoka is hell-bent on killing him, just not yet. It does not matter if his list includes A-level assholes like Chrollo or Illumi. The only redeeming factor of Hisoka is he is unlikely to kill someone who is too weak to fight. So, a common civilian like Illumi's victims or Kurta clan are unlikely to get murdered by him. But some decent hunters who were just trying to stop civilian deaths just got shacked. Netero or Ging regardless of fun, always prioritise saving lives.

The way they gave Pariston the last word after Leorio's selfless speech was great. Most shows might have taken the easy way out by having Leorio speak last and sweep the election in a storm of hype, but here we get to see how the villain responds to and tries to defuse something like that. If Pariston had said something even remotely selfish right there, he'd have gotten stomped. So he played selfless as well, endorsing a third-party candidate to split the vote while minimizing both his own losses and Leorio's gains. Clever writing.

You've got to remember, Killua has the most potential in his family. And the strongest person in his family that we know of gave Netero a beat down or atleast Netero barely survived against. Making an enemy of Killua is good for Hisoka because he will get his wish and get completely fucked by future Killua. However Illumi would also get fucked because Killua wouldn't consider him a brother and would actually kill him.
