@@EricNeilson_ lol..most of the Defensive guys we have would be backups on other teams. Bill knew how to use them. Anfernee Jennings, Tavai and Kyle Dugger were amazing last year but without Bill, they are backups. In fact, the whole secondary, except Genzo, is nothing without Bill. Wolf only drafted Offensive players, thinking that the defensive is good. Other than Maye, all the other draft picks were wasted. I guess we should not be surprised to have Rookie HC and Rookie DC and Rookie GM on a team without talent to suck this year. Also, many of their position Coaches are rookies. Well done Kraft!!

@redvany Well Mayo wasn't even calling plays, the defense was Bill and his son... and those players you dissed like Dugger are great players in his scheme, they're hybrids, meant to confuse the offense with multiple roles and line up in multiple positions. Dugger, Peppers, Tavai, Mapu, Jennings all fit into that hybrid category... when u make them play 1 conventional role, all of sudden, they look overrated instead of underrated

"Work in progress" means accepting mediocrity. Actual works in progress, which we saw plenty during the Belichick years, were all about having a standard and working towards it every single day so that by the end of the season they were a weapon of mass destruction unleashed on the league in the playoffs. But when you say "we're a work in progress" as a defense, rhat means you aren't working and don't feel the need to improve and success will just happen eventually.

The only question is, where’s the bottom? Kraft committed to Mayo. Mayo is a rookie coach with not much help from his coaching staff and a team that really is a mess. So it’s hard to judge Mayo by this season. I doubt Vince Lombardi, Don Shula, and Bill Belichick combined could turn this into a winning team. See what Mayo can do with a reasonably talented bunch of players and then make a judgement.

We as fans were blessed for 20 years, but for 6 years we get worse year in and year out. Ownership hires a coach with no experience leading to an even worse year. Game 16, after 16 unwatchable games we can't take it any more. Yeah you're an athelete for sure, but fans buy jerseys, sit at Patriots place, and fill those stadiums that feeds an organization, just like a store needs customers. Respect your fan, your 'customer', and understand the chants are in fact warranted. Don't forget the customer/fan importance to any business.

Get rid of the whole coaching staff, especially Mayo, covington, and that whack ass wide receivers coach. Get rid of Eliot Wolf and all their terrible scouts. Get rid of Tavai, Wise, Godchaux, and anyone not named Maye, Andrews, Schooler, Gonzo, Hunter henry, or Pop Douglas. Literally start with Vrabel and a trusted Gm, and then branch it from there.
