I have been making soap for about a year and a half. I've read multiple books and soaping blogs and watched hundreds of videos, but your channel, by far, is THE BEST. You have taught me so much about soapmaking--thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

You were my first soaping teacher, and I made my very first soap using your Bastile recipe for myself & my Nanny, hers I scented w/ lavender eo. She loved it so much she's asked for it every single year since (2014 was that 1st time!). I, being the loving daughter that I am (not that I'm addicted to soap making 🤭🧼😂😅), have done my best to make it for her every Summer! And extras for my sister-in-law and my nieces, in fun shapes (turkeys last year), ingredients from my garden like organic bananas & mangos, & scented w/ freesias from a tree that got some sort of infection so doesn't exist anymore. 😭 You've been an inspiration, and a sanity saver. Thank you from the bottom of my sudsy, soapy, heart! 💜

Awesome!! I literally just made my first CP soap tonight, and even though I have been studying soap making for about a year now, finding a good guide to oil properties has been excruciatingly frustrating. I really appreciate the time you took to break everything down and explain things in an easy to understand video!! Freaking priceless! You are fabulous!! Thank you😍😍😍😊

You have the most informative Channel about soaping. I'm hopefully going to start with just a Castile recipe. My daughter needs a gentle bar. Anyway, thank you for all of these gold mines.

This is very very clear, concise and much appreciated, I have just started expanding my CP recipes using others kindly provided on their channels. I can now review these to work out why one uses just a two or three certain oils and one butter whilst another uses many oils and butters . I was too nervous to adapt more than exchange similar oil for another. This will help me gain a much better understanding. Thank you

What should be the right ratio of oleic acid or linoleic acid to be suitable for either oily or dry skin? I knew that high oleic acid is good for dry skin while linoleic acid is for oily but how can i read that on soap calc?

Anither question please Can l use whatever kind of oils in the main recipe making zero superfat and then add my superfat of oil of my choice according the target type of skin? For example adding 50 gm of grapeseed oil or argan oil per kilo for oily skin and in other case add 50 gm of avocado oil or any butter for dry skin.thank you

Mam ! very valuable session. Is there any mechanism to harden the soap after 1 day dried up process of soap, if the soap has not hardened perfectly ?
@soaping101
@soaping101 2 жыл бұрын
All soap can be used immediately after the saponification process is complete. But for a harder, longer lasting bar you should cure the soap until the bar stops losing weight. Usually, 2 weeks.

Hi, I'm Shahzaib. I need your help to make soaps. I'm facing a problem with soap. It was hard too quickly before proper blending I used Olive Oil 40% Coconut Oil 25% Palm oil. 35% with 5 % super fat I changed recipes many times. But the same problem occurs. Hard too quickly What can I do???

In CP soap, should I use extra light colored olive oil or extra virgin dark coloured olive oil? Please guide.❤️

Either is fine. They essentially have the same fatty acid profile. The difference is how the olives are processed into oil.

You would have something similar to a drug store soap bar. Many commercial manufacturers add bubbling and foaming agents to enhance the consumer experience. People equate bubbles to cleansing.
