The additional videos to chapters is extremely powerful for those who have a very active mind. So much resonates from each episode in between chapters. I haven't left practicing self remembering alone since i first picked it up, I can fully resonate with the idea of the "being" outweighing the knowledge - which is the reason why i am glued to your channel. The fourth way for some reason is intriguingly familiar, the way you described it in previous videos being "a comprehensive map to enlightenment" is a very powerful comment. So much appreciation for Book Club and these videos. This is by far one of the strongest pain killers i currently use. Happy Fridays!

Hey Daniel. I’m very pleased that the commentary videos are helping your understanding of The Fourth Way. If you ever have any questions going forward, I would be happy to address them. Good to have you here 🙏

Being & Knowledge like Essence & Personality comes from Aristotle's Substance & Attributes.

That was very clear. Thank you. I have a related question. For years, I have pondered over the difference between Essence & Being. I feel that at times, they are presented as interchangeable. Perhaps, the only difference is that Being tends to be "noble" & Essence - at times - "animalistic. What do you think?

I would say that essence is what is your own, the deepest part of yourself. And that being is how that is expressed in the world. So your intuition seems fine with me. Essence is noble and incorruptible, where as being can potentially be animalistic. Gurdjieff said that our aim is to develop knowledge and being simultaneously. Thanks for the great question, I hope what I have said helped somewhat. 🙏

Ha-ha but I had them the other way around! Can we agree that they ARE close, anyway?@@bookclub5291

Hi, I just found this interview with an actress from the 60s/70s called Diane Cilento - at one time she was married to Sean Connery. She has an interesting story of Fame, going to John Bennett's school, Sufis, running her own school etc. I thought it might be of interest to you. Epiphanies: Diane Cilento - ABC listen Andrew

Gurdjieff is the real deal. If you want to dig even deeper I can recommend a series of books called The Law of One, but beware, these books are spiritual dynamite
