im 25 years old, i have been out of work for nearly 4 months now had to move back in with my mum and have lost almost everything ive worked for lately. the only thing i have left is my gym membership and ive been so lazy and unmotivated to go feeling sorry for myself. i watch all your videos steve but this one where you talked about how some people cant even get a gym membership or get to a gym really woke me up. the gym is the 1 thing ive got and it brings me so much happiness when im in there. you just motivated me so much to go kill this leg workout and start thinking positive. good things will come. thank you steve!

That was a heart-felt message. I felt that. It's also nice to reflect on life and how we all got there. That's self-respect to our own life and our body. Thanks for that little spiel. Dang your good!

Steve, this one hits home. I go to an expensive and prestigious university at the moment, and it's one of the most challenging things to keep up with each semester. I always get those feelings that make me ask if what I'm doing is worth it, or sometimes slack off and take it all for granted. I also realize after that I struggled so hard to get to the position where I am, and I know for a fact there are people in this world who would give up anything to be in my position: to be able to study and make a better life for themselves. I never comment on videos but I feel this was necessary and I completely agree with you Steve. I've been watching you for years!

Steve, i was considering not working out tonight at home doing a back workout.. After working all day and feeling tired i made myself a coffee in the hopes of getting a kick to train. I purposely didn't watch this video at work today during my lunch break because i knew watching it would inspire me to train and worker harder not only in the gym but in life. Your speech really made sense to me, your outlook is very similar to mine and today when i got home it was blurred because i was ' tired ' (sarcastic tone) but you made it 100% clear that i HAVE to do all the things i can and experience everything for the people that cant ! . As soon as you went into the gym and saw you going weighted push ups (which i was planning on doing ) i immediately started writing this comment and now i'm going to go TRAIN harder then i ever have before. Steve i know a lot of people say this but your a real inspiration and you motivate me to become a better healthier person. Once again thanks for this video and much love from Australia

Have to say man that speech you gave before entering Gold's Gym was legendary! Almost felt like you were talking directly to me. Right now I'm 5 weeks out from my first Men's Physique show and I have to say the prep has been fun but very challenging and draining and at times I wanted to quit and walk away. That talk before you hit the weights for sure motivated me to keep going in pursuit of my goals and what I want out of life. Always appreciate the positivity and motivation man keep inspiring and uplifting others!

Hey, Steve Today was one of those days when work wasn't going well, frustrated with life and got some bad news (nothing life threatening)... I didn't want to hit the gym... Then I watched this video and was surprised to see you speak about not wanting to hit the gym due to stress and life's day to day stresses, but then I realized that all the stress in my life is good stress and like you said is to better my life. So I got off the couch, got my gym together and went and killed it at the gym! Wanted to say thank you! Cause though this video wasn't made specifically for me, in a way it was!

I am currently reading the book "The Book of Joy" by Douglas Abrams with the Dalai Lama and the Archbishop Desmond Tutu (awesome book - I recommend) and some of the things Steve mentioned before entering Gold's are exactly what you can find in this book. The main question throughout the book is "how can we find joy in the midst of all the suffering in the world?" One of the answers: Yup, you guessed it. BEING THANKFUL. We take so many things for granted and being able to go to the gym whenever you want is truly a blessing. Thank you, Steve, for the motivation and for spreading awareness!

You probably won't read this comment anymore Steve but this is one of the things that woke me up in life because of your words. Back when you uploaded this I was a new college drop out, I disliked school, I didn't have a path. All I did was cut classes and read by myself in the library or in some expensive bookstore, the plastic covers for the books I wanted to read I discreetly took them off just so I could read them. Reading and studying by myself for hours from 9am to 3pm then come 3pm I'd head straight to a cheap rundown looking gym and gave that my all too. I was lost in life and watching this for the first time made me question what the fuck I was gonna do, how could I get job in Architecture firms if I didn't have a degree. So I lied my way into firms, I learned how to render on the computer by myself, attended seminars and architecture events and built my portfolio, messaged a CEO of an Architecture firm and lied about graduating and she hired me. I was a fuck up at that job. I soaked in everything I could learn. Got some design projects and studied the hands of the craftsmen. Fast forward to now, I was seen by my new boss last year and hired me. We were just 2 guys, he has loads of connections with his previous clients and me I was the guy behind the designs and technical shit. Back 2017 I had no purpose, now I have my own car, own place, almost 7 figures in the bank and I have a 30% partnership with my boss. And I'm still loving bodybuilding and will step on stage for the first time next year in Classic. All because this video helped me get my shit together. Thank you Steve!
