The new buildings and new neighborhoods look great but the open gutters don't fit in to picture. Open drains are just not sanitary. Your apartment is beautiful though. Thanks for sharing.

There are areas where there are no open gutters such as Ako Adjei near Labadi.Ask and go visit different places with pavements or side walks.
@sylviasworld93972 ай бұрын
What you just pointed out annoyed me so much about Accra . I was confused about it. Open drainage and the lack of paved side roads and pavements on the roads for pedestrians to walk.
@sylviasworld93972 ай бұрын
@@nicholasgwira9026It is supposed to be standard. Even on Oxford Street, no sidewalk and just behind its all dirt roads. That just won't do. Someone pays so much to stay at One Oxford Street for example, yet behind they are walking on unpaved roads. The buildings are great, but the other infrastructures are missing a lot of the time.

Nonsense the whole west African countries there are open gutters
@sylviasworld9397Ай бұрын
@@Bejonastv5591I arrived back in Abuja on Monday gutters are pretty much underground here only maybe in one neighbourhood called Gwarinpa. They are majorly dry there though. I went to Abuja before Accra so it made me really dislike open gutters wherever I see them including in Lagos . I personally find it dehumanising to have to walk alongside or step over them. Let alone smell them. Even just using metal grating to cover it is better and pretty easy to do.... By now.

Ghanaian force people to praise their country whenever you are in Ghana as a foreigner,sometimes some just give them what they want to hear and move on , Accra isn't among the top 4 cities in west Africa,if you have your cities like Lagos , Abidjan, Abuja, Dakar, Accra you will understand me ... Ghanaian invest more on online hype propaganda than investing on ground, many black Americans and Nigerians who been in Ghana can testify, the reality on ground is so different than online narratives sold out

@kabifest8897 Ghana is in transition as we speak. As a Jamaican who has lived both in Canada,the U.S. for decades and having extended stays in Ghana since 2021 ; I think I have a well informed point of view. Like most countries on the continent, Ghana does have some infrastructure issues especially where interior roadways are concerned as well as other inefficiencies such as periodic electricity outages and access to government services etcetera. There is definitely issues related to corruption and overcharging of foreigners also. But when all is said and done Ghana is a beautiful, welcoming and safe place to visit and live. Culture is alive and well and the energy of the people is unmatched. I would rally love to see Ghanaians feel more appreciative of the value of the country as a whole, and that Africans from other countries be more gracious when foreigners complement the country. We from the diaspora have a reference point so when we see value in an African country we know of what we speak because we have other places to compare it with. Skyscrapers are not the only metric for development. Accra for example is very cosmopolitan and you can basically find most things that the West offers there. From world class restaurants, museums, art galleries etc. There is no need to denigrate the country by comparisons to other African countries and cities. Each one has its strengths and weaknesses. Like I said it is a country in transition and it is rapidly developing.Peace and Blessings

It worth checking the following two KZbin channels to update yourself before the decision today move to the Ghana 1, Rash online 2, Ama Ghana Observer. In fact you can check on a daily basis or weekly basis, together know the current issues that the Ghanaian citizenships are dealing with in their country and know what could be helpful to your and what could not be helpful towards your as well. On Rasn online channel, there is an opportunity for you to you along listen to the talking points amongst Ghanaians at home and abroad. It's obviously important for all the foreigners to be aware of changes coming into the country as citizens are demanding because Ghana is never going to be the same, some please bear that fact in mind and not to mess up yourself. Thank you.
