I noticed nobody has commented how to tell its a KO while still in the box. There are 2 giveaways on the front. The first is the "F" in transformers is aligned with the "R" on the original it was aligned with the "A". The second is the grey outline of the window goes all the way around. On the original it stopped on top of the trailer. On the back you will notice Ravages head is cut off at the top of the artwork because the zoomed it in for the KO. Still a really nice figure though, I love mine.

The gold rims one seems to be the rarest right now. That's the one that got me started collecting them, the previous owner of my gold rims Prime had it customized with gold decals too and made a KZbin video of it.

Hate to bust your bubble, but that is not a gas pump. It’s a welding torch for repairs for the truck in battle. Take a close look at it and you’ll see what I mean. It’s a welding torch. The trailer itself was a repair bay as well as a battle station.

7:36 It's a welder. It's so the Diaclone pilots can repair the Convoy mech suit. Nobody seems to know this.

🤘 what i noticed - - no screw for the head attachment - mold lines on trailer are different - og trailers have a grain on them - dark grey arms on repair robot and what you already mentioned - cheap plastic etc. yeah - be careful guys they are getting really good at ko knock offs now

Seriously! Someone who doesn't know will get scammed. But I gotta say, I'm actually really happy to own this. As a boxed display piece, it's pretty perfect. The plastic isn't even THAT cheap feeling. Just a little"off" And of course the rub sticker having to be placed is a dead giveaway.

I dont people fully understand. these Chinese kos. re the same exact molds from the original g1. same plastic same 99.9% of everything. they still sell them in china. I have over 30 of thses kos. every now an then a leg will be loose. a missile wont fire. guns r loose I. there hands. other then that the same. u would never no the difference. take it out of the box and put it by the orginal u would never know

​@@jeremygray462having held an official prime next to KO I can confirm they are not identical at all. The front bumper has been completely redone and is missing the indentation for the license plate. The inner ratchet of the arm is plastic instead of metal on the ko. The legs and head are missing the mold number marks from the original mold. And the original had the head held on by a screw, it is glued on the KO. They are very close but by no means identical.

I have actually purchased a LOT of these KO's and most are really good. This one was OK, but there were issues. The cab (Optimus himself) is much to be desired. The legs are spread too wide, the arms are floppy, the fists would not stay in, and the face paint was (at least on mine) not good.I replaced the cab in my KO box with the recent Hasbro reissue version instead. The trailer was pretty great however...except for the missiles barely stick in and barely shoot. Still, great to have the excellent box and a trailer that is new despite the missile issue.

I have a ko g1 Optimus prime on the way, however I have heard the stickers don’t stick to well but maybe I can put a tiny bit of glue on them before adding them

You can definitely try that. There are also sellers that will make reproduction stickers 👍

@@ComicVantage it arrived a few days Ago! It wasn’t that bad of a figure but It didn’t have all the molded in details the original figure had as well as some Differences like the dessert dog and formula on the tires which quit disappointed me

That toy looks awesome never seen a box look so good and still brand new like the one you have a great find in my opinion

They are easy to find since it is a knockoff!! You can grab them on eBay for about 50$

@@ComicVantage I see did not know that looks identical to the real thing if it was vintage it would have been a beaten up box

@@TheSultan79 it is a pretty perfect copy. There are a few differences that you need to look for. Plastic is a bit different and there is no screw hole for Prime's head.

I got a g1 reissue Optimus from 1984 and it is great I also got menasor reissue and prowl reissue and hot rod reissue

Prime, Grimlock and several of the 84 and 85 transformers were licensed from Tamarac Diaclone toyline, these toys were piloted mechs hence the cockpits, diaclone pilots I think were silver non poseable humanoid figures removed for the transformer releases

They did about 10 years ago, but that was the last full size reissue I saw. Now they only do the cab for some reason. You're not going to be disappointed! I've bought 3 already

These are worst G1 Optimus Prime KO’s on the market currently. The "reissues" from a few years ago were almost 100% accurate.
