Freedom from quantization is why I instantly fell in love with the RC 505. I just plug my MPC into the RC and bang away. Lastly, when importing my hand-made loops into a DAW, you can never really get the bpm to match, even down to .001. 😂 Good luck on your quest for the perfect looper! Cheers

It makes a big difference too. Having the option to build a beat starting with Loopy AU or Koala and then finishing with beatsurfer2 is my new favorite thing.

I’ve been practicing on my bass guitar lately, hadn’t been jamming on the iPad much for a few months. Then I got a few apps on offer, finally got aum and picked up Riffler. Man been having a riot with that, leaning towards rock music again, but my mood changes a lot lol. Have a great holiday man, love the positivity and creativity you got Alex.

at 9:00 what is the workaround on getting Beatsurfing 2 to just load an instance when it (apparently) thinks one is already loaded? it seems to take a lot of fiddling and even then it's not foolproof; very wary of trying to use this at a gig, but when it works it's just so fun to play. is this Beatsurfing's fault? what can be done?

The workaround to get beatsurfing2 working again (unfortunately) is to exit Loopy Pro completely and then come back in. Then beatsurfing2 will work again as normal. Yes, it would be up to the makers of bs2 to correct this. It seems to happen consistently whenever I switch templates and I sometimes mitigate this a bit by using the same template for a couple songs (or more commonly just skip using bs2 for a few songs and then reload when I need to use it again). Hopefully it gets fixed some time soon, but I am that much of a fan of bs2 that I can tolerate it for the tremendous upside.

@@LiveLoopers yeah, slidey drums are LOTSA fun! but i think the developer is in over their head maybe, with significant bugs like this . . . and their confusing marketing . . . like big time ADHD or something.

@@kittensinkmusic - when I look at the advanced features in it it doesn't seem like the developers are in over their heads as much as it seems like ios is not their first priority. It seems like they make music apps for computers and then they port them to tablets as best they can.
