@@Silvarret the new nether stuff is just bullcrap
@stuchly14 жыл бұрын
@@Silvarret Bonding over a missing block in Minecraft with an expert builder, my life is complete. 😅 Speaking of the nether update, people keep saying the updated walls are like a vertical slabs but they really aren't. It's just that a vertical slabs has such a specific use that it really cannot be replaced by any other block type. I still feel like the new armor as well as the fact that biomes are now vertically stratified in the nether means good things for future update though, because now at least it seems they are doing things which they were previously unwilling to do. Hytale is a new block-based game coming out next year that really took the building aspect very seriously. It's got furniture sets, more complex character and creature models, bigger and better trees, more varied and detailed environments, and yes, there are vertical slabs, among other cool things such as multidirectional beams of two thicknesses, roof blocks, cloth pieces for tents and awnings, chains, ropes, modeled pillar blocks, statues and a wide variety of other decorations. The devs are aiming to make this game a platform for customization and it will release with a complete set of modding tools. It honestly looks like everything I have ever wanted Minecraft to become over the past 10 years and then some. I don't want to make this comment any longer than I already have, but I feel this game has enormous potential to be very fun to play and very popular, their announcement trailer is now sitting at almost 55 million views and counting. I didn't know you play Minecraft too, so I figured I'd mention this game in case it's something you'd like to check out. 😅

As much as a pigmy hippo would be cool in the pond, I can see a few problems with it. Firstly, hippos smell. Like, really bad. So putting some by the restaurant wouldn't really be the best idea. Second, it is too small and I feel like it would make the area too busy. I love the idea of Koali Zoo once being a Palace garden, I think a lot of zoos once started out as gardens and private Manageries. Amazing job as always Silv, you guys are collaborating so well so far and it's lovely to see everyone bouncing off eachother with their builds.

Love y'all's stuff. Can't say much about the creativity stuff with PZ (I don't play it a whole lot), but I guess it's telling that y'all give me so many ideas like... the fact that I could put things like rocks and buildings INTO THE GROUND??? I had no idea I could do that. XD Or things like copy/pasting parts and rotating them to make them curved. I feel like a ding dong lol But it's given me a lot of ideas, and so my enclosures have gone from glass squares to things like lowered habitats with rock walls which I think is an improvement (although my tortoises don't think so). And while I was never into Planet Coaster, I think the picnic bench celebration is probably comparable to the Pokemon community when you could finally sit on the benches in Pokemon XY. 😂

So if you're using it, just give it a shot without.

Mkay this is a really really stupid question, so humor me, and I promise I'm not this clueless in every other area of my life... But how do you do that? Because I've got a high/mid-level gaming laptop and at first, it could handle this game great. Highest graphics settings, 4,000+ guests, 200+ animals, piece counts that you would expect from someone who has never built in any Planet game, so they do things the hardest and most complicated way possible, it could handle all of that, no problem. But the more I play it, the laggier it's gotten. Now I've got the graphics on medium settings and had to limit the guest count to 3,000. Could clearing the cache help with that?

I'm still binging this playlist and I know there's a Mike video so maybe this was changed already, but the placement of the dome on DeLady's building doesn't work. There isn't any feasible way, structurally, to support something that heavy there. Also the new weenie garden with the museum, the restaurant, and the houses from the previous video is very pointless in terms of game function, which also means it won't see any people coming through. It's a compromise in terms of design, but it might make sense to punch some holes in the buildings and add in-game shops. After all, the zoo is really missing these things and even if it doesn't entirely matter in sandbox mode, it's still better to make a zoo that basically functions as a zoo.
