In the first two segments, her voice is so delicate, warm, so enchanting, it causes a meltdown, a complete fusion with a transcendental dimension of purity and platonic love. Her uttering of words is so sincere, so full of love with haunting vibratos that seem to linger forever especially in her second segment from 1:50- 2:02 minute mark with high emotional depth and the innocent pretty expression on her face, it makes you cry instantly without control, that is pure art, and masterful musicianship. That's how sweet her voice really is. At the last three segments, her voice is ascending high but still dark at such high notes. She is imposing and overwhelming, and yet, she barely moves on the stage, which makes her performance so elegantly mesmerizing, an so soul penetrating. No other singer has a voice with such contrasting characteristics. I have seen hundreds of singers all over the world and watched thousands of vocalists from different countries but none had that much affect on me. She is peerless, and truly unique. Thanks for the reaction, it is worthy of praise. Bravo . . .

Diana is polyphonic. That means that she can sing several notes at the same time which is so rare that it can't even be counted. The general consensus is that she is not from this world. She was created by the Gods and given to Mother Earth to bring joy to the world. And she does this time and time again.

This was a competition where performers judged each other's performance. All those who the camera focused on are professionals, being in the business for a range of years, while Diana at this stage was just beginning her career. One of the judges commented that Diana was already above this competition.

Koality, first, this performance took place on September 25, 2021, when Diana Ankudinova was 18 years old and was invited to sing during the inaugural season of a new Russian vocal competition called the ShowMaskGoOn. For the entirety of this competition she was competing against 8 other professional singers for the 9 week competition period. Including herself, there were 9 singer's all together and they all doubled as judges. Each singer performed one song per week. Diana and the other professional singers/judges were competing against each other, and based on their individual performances they awarded judging points to each other. When not actively performing, Diana was also a member of the judging panel, and each week, each singer took the stage and performed a different song, and each week each singer was required to use a different genre of music, along with using a different style. Diana Ankudinova performed her cover of Elvis Presley’s classic, Can't Help Falling In Love, and this performance demonstrated that Diana has developed what many vocal professionals say is a true contralto voice type. For those in you audience that may not know what a contralto is, a contralto is the lowest type of female voice, and a true contralto is very, very rare. Within the contralto voice type category are three generally recognized subcategories: 1. Coloratura Contralto, which is an agile voice specializing in fast moving, florid passages. 2. A Lyric Contralto, a voice with a lighter tone and timbre. 3. A Dramatic Contralto which is the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice type, and the rarest of the rare Contralto voice types. Diana Ankudinova is classified and recognized as a “Dramatic Contralto” by most vocal professionals, but there are some purists that disagree. Some vocal professionals have said, because Diana is singing outside of a formal opera setting, and because a Contralto voice type is almost exclusively associated with classical repertoire, Diana is not a true Contralto, but there are not many. Because a female singers vocal range is used to determine/define her voice type, during this performance of Can’t Help Falling In Love, her vocal range was measured. Diana’s functional vocal range went from a low of C3 (male Tenor range) to a high of B♭5, (female Mezzo Soprano range) which now marks her as a true Contralto. Her deep, resonant, and profound sound can be classified as nothing else. During the opening of Can’t Help Falling In Love, her low Contralto voice is on full display. During past interviews Diana has said she was not happy with her lack of a higher vocal range, and the lack of an upper range kept her out of the more prestigious Russian music academies. Diana, along with her voice teacher decided to concentrate extensively on improving and developing her higher vocal range. The improvement to her upper range is also on display during the middle portion of this performance. Near the end of Diana’s performance, the depth and the power of Diana’s “Dramatic Contralto” voice in her lower range is on full display. Dramatic Contraltos have the deepest, darkest, and richest sound and are the most powerful of the contralto voice types, and Dramatic Contralto’s are the rarest of the rare Contralto voice types. But it’s not all about how low can she go. It is the exceptional quality of her tone in both her lower and upper registers that makes her so very special. It's in the roundness, fullness, and depth of her sound, along with her ability to access and use an enormous amount of resonance. Diana has also mastered a vocal technique known as polyphonic singing, which is an extraordinary accomplishment for so young a singer. Someone that has mastered the polyphonic singing technique can create up to two, and sometimes up to three different tones at the same time which adds to the harmonic overtones. It is this polyphonic singing ability that can make it sound like more than one person singing, and is why some people believe Diana Ankudinova is using some form of artificial electronic voice manipulation like Auto Tune, or a vocoder. Or she is using pitch correction software to alter or adjust her sound. Others believe another person is singing off stage in the background. She has also been accused of lip-syncing over a previously recorded vocal track that was altered or modified. There is No artificial manipulation of Diana's voice at all, and no one else is singing off stage, nor is she lip-syncing to a vocal track. What you are hearing is the musical score a with a choir on a backing tracks to fill in and round out this performance. Diana Ankudinova, and only Diana Ankudinova is actually singing Can't Help Falling In Love. One of the most asked frequently asked questions is, how does she do it? How does such a young female singer achieve such a low, rich, deep, profound, and resonant sound? Without actually scoping her vocal tract while she is producing those low notes to actually see what is happening, the general conciseness of many vocal professionals is simply to attribute Diana's ability to hours and years of vocal training, but also to her just winning the genetic lottery, meaning Diana Ankudinova was just born with unique vocal anatomy. Diana's vocal folds (vocal cords) appear to be longer and thicker than the vast majority of female singers. Her larynx appears to also be larger, and her pharynx similarly appears to be longer than a majority of other female singers, plus she has a large oral cavity (mouth). It’s this unique combination of vocal anatomy that appears to give Diana Ankudinova the ability to produce the low, deep, rich, and full sounds she is known for, but without actually scoping her vocal track to verify, there is no way to be 100% sure. The ShowMaskGoOn! concluded on November 20, 2021. During Diana's final performance, the judge on the top row, and the first to stand is a well known Russian opera tenor, Yusif Eyvazov from Azerbaijan who was invited to participate as a special guest judge for this inaugural competition, and he is married to world-famous soprano Anna Netrebko. At the end of Diana's performance she receives a standing ovation from all her fellow competitors. One of those competitors is also a well-known contemporary Russian singer, Julia Parshuta. Julia is in the center row dressed all in red, and when she stands and looks totally lost at the end of Diana's performance, then then puts both hands on top of her head with a has a look of total shock and bewilderment. Finally, The Show MaskGoOn concludes with Diana Ankudinova being awarded the most judging points over the 9 weeks, and was declared the show winner!

My take on this performance is basically there are two types of infatuation. One being girl meets boy becomes infatuated and begins to see a future with this person and then there is an infatuation towards someone and then becoming to realize this is not the type of person you need to be Infatuated with and the more you try to convince yourself this is not good the more you were drawn toward the infatuation no matter how hard you try all you can do is think of this person, knowing that everything about it is wrong, and it becomes a battle within yourself knowing that you are weak, and your emotions are taken over That’s just my personal take on this performance. She is absolutely an amazing performer and her backstory explains why she become so emotional in her performances

В три минуты Диана и креативные постановщики с НТВ (это не относится к полностью уворованной у Томми Профитта аранжировке) создали четырехчастную кантату о возвращении к свету человечества, погрязшего во тьме и среди перевернутых представлений об истинных ценностях. Не буду здесь описывать содержание и смысл каждой из частей. One of my favorites by her is from the "Show Mask Go On" entitled "Oh' It's Not Yet Evening" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZe3moShf9d_n5I. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song. I'm not sure how many people appreciate the emotional gasps she produces here that absolutely melt me.

For me, this beautifully dark and haunting version fits her voice perfectly. It also gives me “I’m not supposed to love you; in fact, I don’t even want to love you, but I do .. despite everything. Also, behind or underneath the darkness is a subtle anger and/or resentment that comes with being seemingly helpless to resist the emotion and love towards one she feels she shouldn’t. I was hoping you would watch the other Contestants talk to Diana about her vocals here. This was the first episode. Some of the Contestants had heard her sing when she was younger but had not heard her more recently. Some had never heard her sing at all. This show is WILD. ALL of the Contestants, including Diana, were also Judges! All of their comments were very positive and they were all just flummoxed at Diana's sound. Keep in mind, everybody here are professionals in some way or other with different types of singing. Diana is just THAT treasure and she happened to be the youngest contestant/ judge there.

To me Diana is mesmerizing, hypnotic as well as just plain beautiful. She is a natural on the stage. From every thing I have been to find out about her, she is also a wonderful sweet person. I recommend her singing “Rechenka” next. At age 14 she performs this Russian folk lore song that is one of her best singing and performances that will blow you away once again, age 14 and you won’t again believe what you are hearing. You will need to research the song first to understand what she is singing about because it is in the Russian language but is one of my fav’s. Here is the correct video performance performed on the first year she was on the show “You are Super” for disadvantaged and orphaned children. Если говорить языком военных - идеальная стратегия исполнения песни!!! Я ее называю "Стратегия реки". Вначале, у своих истоков, течение тихое, почти не заметное. Чем дальше мы спускаемся по реке - тем течение становится шире, глубже, полноводнее, стремительнее. Да, вы правы. Диана расплакалась. Это не в первый раз. Например, спев песню русского актёра, певца, поэта Владимира Высоцкого, Диана расплакалась, прожив эту трагическую, тяжёлую песню. Для меня загадка, как может красивая, молодая девушка, так соединяться с душой песни, где бурлят эмоции взрослых людей, имеющих большой жизненный опыт, и даже возможно, людей, приближающихся к смерти. Диана - уникальная певица с великим талантом, который возможно и не надо анализировать, это бесполезно. Диана умная, образованная, трудолюбивая и главное - загадочная в своей природе девушка.

The voice aside, the arrangement of this song was so different from what I'm used to. I was thinking "wow this is dark" and then you said the same thing and added "haunting", which I think sums it up very well indeed. I haven't ever heard this covered in anything other than a happy sounding way before. It makes me think about the song in a different way.

Recently, I viewed a Reactor from the UK who said after watching the Warning Band Sisters that females don’t have resonance so, I dared him to React to Diana Andkudinova. 🙆🏻‍♀️🎼❤️‍🔥🎶🙌🏽 We’ll see because Diana is a force to be reckoned with. She has improved her range to five vocal octaves at 20’ years old now. If you get the opportunity react to her “Sweet Dreams” cover when she participated on the Masked Singer. Wonderful reaction! Diana was 15 when she sang Wicked Game, and was 18 here. This performance was from a Russian show that aired in the fall of 2021, and ran for 9 weeks. There were 9 singers who were also the judges and critiqued each other. There were 9 genres of music they had to perform over the course of the show. Thus Diana sang in many different styles. Another song to listen to: The song is Bopoha (Varona) - The Crow, and is from the same show she was participating in. It is in the category "Pop Hit". Hi Koality, I'm listening her since 5-6 years now and each time I'm amazed to see her evolution and her sound quality. She should have 100,000,000 views for a lot of her songs but I think KZbin hide her total views probably because she's russian !!! She has probably 20-30 real hits songs that she transformed in her own style.
