This is not the kind of drum and bass that you hear at a party. This is the dnb that you discover, get exicted about, force on your dnb-loving friends and just watch them enjoy. This is the niche of the genre that makes me warm inside

I was kinda sad to see drum and bass on the album at first, because there’s so many artists producing it that it’s become kind of generic (IMO it’s structure has become too rigid and predictable). But this is beyond DNB. It’s a masterpiece. There’s not a single repeated phrase. It’s full of musicality. It’s beautiful

Nerved Music maybe have a listen to the new Noisia track.... I agree that there’s definitely good producers, Noisia included (I really like their ethos of keeping their tracks short to avoid over repetition) but the main characteristics of DNB, for me, is a bit too samey.
@quinxx126 жыл бұрын
Because it's more like oldschool dnb. KOAN sound have some awesome dnb tracks in their older albums as well, similar to this style.

@@maxim99260 I am sorry my friend, but you have not heard much drum and bass if you think it is predictable. listen to Noisia - Moonway Renegade and then get back to me.
@Kreizo6 жыл бұрын
@@maxim99260 What you're saying sounds ridiculous. Just because something repeats it doesn't mean it's predictable - I can guarantee you did not expect any of the sound design/drumwork before you listened to the song, you're completely disregarding the actual music just because the beat follows a structure? Doesn't the majority of music? That Ozric Tentacles song you linked basically has the same drum pattern all the way through as well. You're confusing repetition with predictability. It sounds like you want something more along the lines of jungle/breakcore. I'd recommend Supa Ape - Supa Sharp Shoota if you're into heavier stuff, or Reso - Taiga for a more delicate touch.

The bass sound which is being introduced at the drop at 1:26. Would you say that this is a reese bass, FM synthesized, or anything? I'd love to find some kinda tutorial to recreate something similar.
