At 17 dollars a bale for hay out here in California, it costs thousands to feed a steer without pasture. All of a sudden ( after dictatorship change) prices have risen by 15% for the small farmer for grains. I can relate with the concern over respecting fine food products. These guys need Oscar's, academy awards and funding to continue their own crafty comedy. Thanks guys for the great work. Kobe burgers is like washing your car in the rain. The whole reason that they’re highly prized is the marbling and fat content, but if you grind it you can just control the amount of fat in the burgers anyway, so why use Kobe?

It is still different from regular ground beef. The fat tastes different and the patty will be a little softer. It is however not even close to being worth it as a regular burger will be pretty close to the wagyu burger for the fraction of the price. Especially when you mix a little wagyu fat into the mix yourself.
