I think it’s funny how you constantly hear players/former players/former Hall of famers rank Kobe much higher than NbA “historians” like Bill Simmons. Case in point…Kobe in comparison to Tim Duncan - People like Simmons just automatically assume Duncan was the better player and they misconstrue things to push their narrative..: 2001 and 2002 playoffs - Kobe was the best player on the floor beating SA….2003-Duncan was…2004-Kobe won that series….2008- Kobe won that series…. 99-Duncan beat Shaq and Kobe…

@@SuperRobertoClementeKobe only had 23PTs in the 1st half of that game 7 while his team was playing like garbage and down 25Pts and he’s getting blamed after scoring 50PTs in game 6 Anytime I hear a Lebron fan say he is the most hated/critiqued NBA player I point to Kobe from 2004-2007 he was getting crushed by the media for not winning with Odom and 10 G League players it was the worst roster in the NBA this series is prime example of the scrutiny Kobe was under no player in NBA history dealt with more hate then Kobe
@SuperRobertoClemente
@SuperRobertoClemente 8 ай бұрын
@@davis2k1234 He did get some flak, yes. I remember it well. No offense, but he earned it. He probably raped someone. He ran Shaq out of LA. As LA rebuilt, he went on an absolute spree of ball-hogging and self-glorification. It's weird how time changes things. Now everyone loves his "mamba mentality," which instead of making him a sociopath means he was a superior competitor to LeBron. Now 81 is not the act of a selfish ball-hog but one of the great acts of NBA artistry. For me the truth is somewhere in between these reads. I never idealized Kobe, although I did appreciate his greatness and still do.

The thing about kobe that seperates him from the rest... is he got the most out of his god given talents. He shouldn't have been that much greater then his dad. But kobe having the mamba mentality since he was a kid. He was able to surpass his natural abilities. I like to liken him to a goku from dbz. Practice night and day relentlessly until you break new levels. Lebron was given the most natural ability. Imagine bron with kobes mentality... or kobe with brons genes... scary.
