Kobe Bryant was not some overhyped kid who had to jump teams to win championships. This man dedicated his career to one team for 20 years and played like his life was on the line every game. 5x 🏆 he could of retired after suffering from a torn achilles. The fact that he came back at the age of 36 from a terrible injury like that. No matter how banged up and body was breaking down in his last game. Still managed to drop 60 points as if he was still in his prime. My 🐐, black mamba, mamba mentality, mamba 4ever. R.I.P champ.

Watching him grow from a boy to a man & a Rookie to a veteran to the closest player to ever be compared to Air Jordan has been amazing to watch. He didn't have MJ's artiistry going to the basket but he made up for that deficit as a jump shooter. He would pull up from damned near anywhere at anytime on anyone and probably hit. In my unqualified opinion, the difference between MJ and Kobe is MJ had to "be the best" even when he wasn't; Kobe worked to be the best even when he was. Who’s watching this after finding out the legend had passed💔

Rip Kobe...I like how he tortured competition with the jump shot later in his career with nearly each shot being highly contested unlike MJ who mainly took open shots but the drive was there... good job KB

It is sad and tragic to lose so many lives and so young. I was never a Kobe fan... Grew up in Jordan's era...

Kobe Bryant will always and forever be my favorite basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan is definitely the greatest to ever play in my eyes but Kobe is one of the goats as well and will have a lasting impact in this world forever. He wasn't a perfect person, as nobody is but he grew as a basketball player and as a human being year after and year and became a better husband but most importantly; a great father, and all around family man. His daughter Gianna would have been one of the best, if not the best women's basketball player in the WNBA. It's just too sad and tragic that they won't get to live to see those things transpire but they will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace to the other 7 individuals as well, the coaches, parents, teammates, and pilot. God Bless all of their families. Much love to you Mamba and rest in peace my brother. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

At least Kobe went fast. No pain. I remember being in LA county jail shortly after his passing and a Laker game was showing on tv and I had to fight back sad emotions. And also being in LA where I’m not from just made matters a little more sad. This man was special to me. Not being into basketball ball at all, Kobe actually made me watch basketball for history’s sake. It takes someone really special to bring a person into something that he or she has little to no interest in. And when that person has gone he or she will never get back into it again. That’s deep. Thanks Kobe.
