Both Ray and KG were also perennial all stars, and Paul was one of the top scoring small forwards in the league a couple of years prior to the big 3. And it's not as though the Miami big three weren't struggling either. Prior to the Heat signings, neither Wade or Bosh had gotten past the first round for the previous four seasons, and Cleveland were making zero efforts to provide Lebron with a decent supporting cast. I don't think it's reasonable to accuse the Heat of taking the 'easy way out' without making the same case for the Celts.Besides, a championship is never gonna be 'easy'.

those days I was so rabidly obsessed with seeing the lakers win again that I have missed out on enjoying seeing this wonderful celtics group play. paul pierce was particularly amazing throughout the playoffs and the efficiency of their supporting cast at defending and contributing made them unstoppable. this was the best series in a long long time, in 2009 I got my wish but it wasn't that fun to watch imo. 2010, though, was a blast.
