IDK it just depends on the type of fan you are the whole talk on who is the best player is subjective. To me Kobe and Jordan are 1a or 1b. There style the way they played the game are so similar it's hard to say they are that much better each other. I'm a huge fan of fundamentals that's why I wouldn't have Lebron on this list. But other people probably do. It all depends on what you like and what you think is basketball greatness.

Stephen A. needs some serious correction here…. Michael Jordan’s 3PT% is not remotely similar to Kobe. His career percentage is more deceptive than you think. Everyone (for some reason) forgets that from 1995-1997, the NBA shortened the 3PT line 2 feet closer to the basket - basically to the distance of the international line. And during those 3 seasons Jordan’s percentage rose to 40.4% -- but all other seasons he played (before and after) he shot 28.8%. If you don’t believe that the 3PT line distance change was the reason for his bump in shooting in 95-97, the VERY NEXT season (1998) Jordan’s % fell from 37% down to 24%! Jordan was NOT a very good 3 point shooter from the REAL, standard NBA 3-point line. The only reason his percentage is even close to Kobe’s is because over 1/3 of the threes he took were during those 3 seasons where he was basically having 3’s counted from the deep mid-range, not the current, standard three that Kobe has always had. You can go look it up yourself if you doubt what I'm saying. I'm not dissing Jordan, I’m just pointing out that Kobe was a superior distance shooter, far superior in fact. This is why stats on the surface can be very misleading, and I thought Stephen A. should know better before claiming Jordan was the same as Kobe from three. That's all. Thank you.

The problem with the world is that nobody listens...The Dr. said he's better on the court. And I'm paraphrasing, but he pretty much said he's whole artistry of the game and the way he maximized the path that was chosen for him. Everybody knows the credentials of Jordan outweigh the credentials of Kobe. But how much of that is subjective to the era he played in, the team he played on, the competition he faced? And I'm in no way saying that any of that was less than what Kobe had to face, but what I am saying is that Kobe faced certain diversities that Jordan never faced either. So I understand that when we compare their careers Jordan comes out on top, but if we were to break it down to just PURE basketball talent...I gotta go with Kobe

That was not no super team, the only superstar on the team is kd. Curry only been on a 2-3year stretch and ppl was not in his sack before that. Curry rarely shows up on the finals and real super stars like mj, magic,bird, dr. J show up. Curry is just an all star. Green got his street ball style to make him stand out since the league is soft these days. Klay Thompson is a great role player. So if you say they a super team then lebron got a super team also with kyrie and love, now since love didn't show up, he's not good and trade rumors going on because lebron wants another all star player that can show up. Dr. is a genius. I have been saying this for years. I am not taking away from MJ, he was spectacular. The difference is that Kobe played in an era that had greater competition which is why he never got 6, but he did go to the finals more times. As far as skill goes, Kobe trumps MJ because he is the greatest student of the game. Those broad averages take into account Kobe's last 5 seasons in the league, 4 of those 5 seasons Kobe was injured big time. No Jordan was not. You need to look into 70s basketball. There were more high flying SGs then than there are now. That was the true era of Shooters. Problem is, they shot too much and proved to be inefficient just like KOBE. That is why people said MJ couldn't win scoring champ and a championship because it had already been tried by so many others. The difference with MJ is that he was EFFICIENT and those SGs before him was not. They were more like Kobe. Shooters. The only thing that saved Kobe was Shaq and Pau Gasol. 7 foot HOF players. MJ never had that.
