If Kobe actually stayed in for the 4th quarter in the 62 game, he could have possibly single Handily outscored a team over an entire game. With how on fire he was, 80 to 90 was not completely impossible
@滋榎本 Жыл бұрын
Kobe Bryant has been compared to Michael Jordan at every opportunity since he was young. One of the reasons for this is that in addition to their track record and charisma, they have many similarities in terms of position, playing style, physique, and a strong dislike of losing. Phil Jackson once praised Kobe after a game in which Kobe scored 81 points, saying, "That was more amazing than any Jordan game."

Awesome video! I agree that I don’t think we’ll see another player completely out score a full finals line up by himself 62 is definitely his best game ever but imagine saying I scored 81 and it’s arguably not even my best performance. Kobe was and will always be my favorite player ever. The disrespect he gets in the media will never sit well with me I argue with people all the time about his all time rank. Fact of the matter is it’s just an opinion but Kobe will always be a legend

can i make the case for two other games. they happen back to back, its the 2001 western conference semis vs the kings game 4. Kobe puts up 48 and 16 to close out the series, IN SAC. then in the next round against SA, he puts up 45 and 10 in SA. Against those two teams

As a Lakers fan, I have to agree with Ben on this and go with the 81-point game as his greatest regular season game. However, to provide a second option, I'll say his best playoff/finals game was the one where Jalen Rose undercut Kobe and Shaq fouled out in the 2000 NBA finals and Kobe still performed and won the game for the Lakers on what he described as a "throbbing ankle." I'm saying that one because it set the stage for the insane pain tolerance Kobe would display thought the rest of his career.

Greatest game is against a team barely in the playoffs. Meanwhile Lebron's greatest game is back against the wall, do or die clutch time epic conference finals playoff matchup against a defending champion team. This is why Kobrick won't even be top 10 😂😂😂

I gotta ask this question. Why do ppl say such and such outscored a team by himself? That sounds redundant. Like when Kobe outscored the Mavs after three quarters, no need to say "by himself", it's already implied when shown he had more points than the other team. Other than that great vid

Kobe outscoring a championship caliber team through 3 quarters is an argument for the single best game in history. Contextually, the 81 game is just another high scoring game that doesn't beat Wilt (which, TBH the Wilt game was very overrated and can be argued Kobe's 81 game is above Wilt's game given the percentage of points Kobe scored compared to the percentage of points Wilt had and the overall box score total).Regardless, until a player outscores a team by himself for the entire game (particularly a playoff level team), Kobe has this.
