Kobe should have won, at least, 3 straight MVPs from 2006-08. He dragged a Lakers team with Smoosh Parker and Kwame Brown to the playoffs. But Nash somehow got the MVP again 2006, and Dirk wins in 2007, because he was on the league's best team. It shouldn't have taken Kobe's Lakers being one of the top teams in the league for him to finally get the MVP.

Whenever it was the start of the 4th, that’s when he was feared because the other team knew he was the best closer in the game; he was the kind of player that would not let a game come down to the final shot. I still find it hard to believe this man won ONLY one MVP… he was the best player in the league from 2002-‘03 to 2011-‘12; he should have four MVPs to his name (2002-‘03, 2005-‘06, 2006-‘07 & 2007-‘08).

Shaq was Kobe's teammate during the early 2000's so that took votes away from him and when the Lakers became Kobe's team they weren't very good. I don't think your team has to be the #1 seed to be named MVP but winning does have to play a part in the process. LeBron & Wade also had strong cases (and identical or superior stats) at that time so it wasn't just Kobe that was robbed.
