At 6:38 mark of the 4th JVG said Kobe was the best played of the league for 3-4 yrs other annoncer said for a while who never won an MVP and they should investigate it. That's just showed Kobe is the face of this league from 01-11

The fact that Kobe was like "Man, I hate how I keep missing these free throws..." to knocking the rest of them for the win. Says a lot about what kind of human being he was

nah man the intro with kobe coming around the trophy statue is prolly one of the hardest things i've seen. even the logos in the middle of the court and the baselines were so cool. it really gave the finals more of an atmosphere. nba finals nowadays is just generic but it was never gonna be the same anyway cuz that brand of basketball is soft.

I skipped a PRIME day of POWDER skiing to watch this game instead. My girlfriend at the time was upset, but the Lakers were on their revenge tour that year against the little green men.

Kobe averaged over 33 points this series at just 22 years old with over 50% FG. At this time he was the youngest to accomplish that.

He's all star material. And his defense was essential to the Laker's back to back championships. Anyone saying Odom bad at defense is wrong.

Kobe closed out the Nuggets in games 1 and 4. Him and Gasol were unstoppable against the horrendous defense of the Nuggets. JR played great in this game, probably his best playoff game ever. But Kobe had an answer everytime for JR and then some. I watched this whole series, I was cheering for AI and the Nuggets. However, it never really felt like we were in this series with the Lakers. We would go on like 10-0 runs and such, but the Lakers would always eventually push back and retain their leads. AI and Melo were complete negatives on defense. Their bad defense led us to hiding them on D, while putting K-Mart and Anthony Carter on Kobe. Camby would rotate over, but it left Gasol wide open many times. Thee Lakers really exploited the Nuggets weak rotations and mismatches well. Iverson and Melo were nowhere to be found late in the 4th qtr, while Kobe would take over. It's why I didn't think AI or Melo were true superstars at this point. AI's impact had become limited, and I think Melo was never a true superstar at any point.

When Kobe was in the league Curry was invisible. This dude went to the Warriors house and turned it into a second Staples Center. Curry is only good at shooting 3's. He has no D, no mid or post game and his name should not be in any G.O.A.T debates.
