Chole bhatore is the most famous dish in Dehli. Best in India. Glen , only about 26% of people in Kerala are muslim .India is the country of car horns 🤣🤣 the only places they dont use horns is in Sikkim and some places in far North East. Aloo means potato. Head shaking is confusing for foreigners. It could mean ... an alternative to thank you, a polite introduction, or it can represent acknowledgement. Head bobbles can also be used in an intentionally vague manner. An unenthusiastic head bobble can be a polite way of declining something without saying no directly. Paneer is homemade white cheese not tofu .i actually make this .it is flavourless but is used to absorb all the sauces .never eat lassi before a meal as it will foll you up.😀

Paneer is actually called cottage cheese and there are various varities of cottage cheese dishes and if you are thinking visiting India again then visit other parts like North, east west India, basically in North India especially in Delhi and West India basically in Jaipur Rajasthan you'll find paneer dishes and other food varities and amazing culture, diversity too It's amazing to see your south venture in india👐🌿

in India food changes in every 50 kms. when British came to India it was largely vegetarian with hundred times more food options than today and population being ten times less than today. then British was largely meat eaters and could not understand Indian food. so they called everything as curry. that's how Indian food which is is most diverse in the world known as curries.

That "tomato curry" is actually Paneer Butter Masala - Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) is made from. milk & not soya bean - best had with a nice hot garlic naan. Other famous north I dian dishes with paneer are Saag Paneer (Spinach based) & Kadai Paneer. Try Sadyam (The Kerala Traditional Festival lunch served on banana leaf) - BTH Sarovaram Vegetarian Restaurant seems to be a popular restaurant for this in Kochi. Also not everyone in India is muslim, It has a majority of Hindus (80%) followed by Muslims (14%) and then other religions, In Kerala the ratio is around 55% Hindus, 27% muslims and 18% christians followed by other religions. Also one tip for you ask the waiter at the restaurant for the most popular dishes or what he would recommend. That is usually a good way to have the best dishes,

Try beef roast with coconut 🥥. Halwa ,laddu sweets . Different stew and ‘putt ‘. Go to a toddy shop, have a drink and you can also enjoy ‘fish pollichathu’. ‘Meenpeera’ ‘kanthari mixed toddy drink’. Go with a stomach and mouth made with steel . Sometimes it’s going to be crazy in taste and addictive, but I don’t know how your stomach have the tolerance. Please do visit if you get time .

A must try out on the wilder side in India would be a trek up north in the mountains if the Himalayas where you get tranquility and there are rivers flowing between isolated but cosy towns .hundreds of miles in India where the population density gets below that of Europe and Iceland for this you need to head to Uttarakhand / Himachal or Ladhak as this is getting boring or get into river rafting for miles near rishikesh
