Guys, you are haggling over a £1.50 tuk tuk ride....it's not worth the hassle, much less stressful to just pay it and accept you may have to pay a bit more as a tourist.

@@lampooot I live in Manchester and earn in pounds. To try and haggle to get 50p off a fare , is really not worth the time , effort and sanity. These drivers do not earn very much, and I really don't mind paying which to me would be a tiny amount extra. I guess I can relate to their lives more than the average tourist. I was born in Kerala and left when I was 3, so I have an appreciation for the hardships that the working man face. Hope that answers it. And oh yes, try to leave a New York restaurant, or hotel without tipping the waitress or doorman, they will practically chase after you.....

In India Specially in a long route U have to Reserve Seat for Sleeping Coach .. its a 20 Rupees Ticket (Less than 40 cent) for 4 hour journey design for working & labour class ppl We can't expect more ..

This is what happens when you go by the flow on an impulse and don’t do any research on how to travel. As a person who visits Kochi twice every year and equally at Varkala, you guys were quoted a fair price by the autorickshaw and everything in between was a hassle free experience. It was the issue of falling short in planning and execution where you should have done some more homework.

No where in the country they will give you ride tuk tuk for 30 rupees - in Kerala the tuk tuk drivers charge the same price for locals as well as foreigners- he has given fair price and you are bargaining unnecessarily-despite the rising fuel price and inflation- they have given you fair price .

dude , in Kerala tuk tuk minimum charge is 30 rupees , for running 5 km and back , it is 10 km for an auto , petrol charge for one litre is 110 in India now , tuk tuk only get 20 km milage , in city it will be less then count how much an auto driver gets and how much he should pay for petrol and auto loan

These 2 are very stingy, they expect everything free. They buy one meal saying only one person is eating and they both share. They practically scrounged for food when they were in Sri Lanka also.

Some things to note: 1. The announcement that Madeline was confused was the order of the bogies for that specific train so that you can position yourself so are ready to board without running the length of the train 😄 2. The general ticket is more like a bus ticket-all travel together, stand up if it is full. Second class can be used to sit and go during the day. Nights, these berths are reserved for sleeping. You can look up for AC chair car if you like an airplane business class type of leg room, comfort, and space, ride you can take a normal chair car where you do the same bus thing :) 3. While boarding the trains, there are unspoken unwritten understanding been moving things and people-like an organized chaos 😇 4. Auto-rickshaws train stations/ airport/ auto-rickshaw stand all work in a sequence. The first guy gets to take the passenger. It’s a queue system. Sorry you had to get the experience with rickshaw. Some villages they take two way cost. When I go to Kerala I try to ask a couple of rickshaws and if they all say the same cost, I understand what’s the running cost in their way of working. Not the best way, but works some times. 5. Happy that you are exploring, enjoying your stay and also appreciating the differences, commonalities and encouraging hardworking people with your warmth, kind words, and friendliness.

The Autoriksha Drivers (tuk-tuk drivers) are not using you. Even when the meter is there the amount will be same as they say. The tuk-tuk price is huge in all over the India. Because they want to come back to their position as well. Also the petrol charge is huge in Kerala 🥹🫂

it tells u abt the train thats coming on which platform or track, u bought a local ticket that means u have to board a general compartment, but u can upgrade the ticket to any ticket for sleeper class or Ac class ..all you have to do is look for a ticket collector and ask him to upgrade.If its a short distance for few hours dnt worry jump in to local compartment.

Announced the coach/compartment/carriage position starting from engine of train. In announcement railway says the train number, train name, originate from station and goes upto which station is arriving in which platform. Also announced that train is on the that platform. That train is departure from that platform at that time. Also etc.

India has many great beaches. for crystal clear water and great beaches there are andaman n nicobar islands (572 islands) and lakshadweep islands (36 islands) in india. lakshadweep is close to maldives has got unharmed coral reeves. it's like Maldives at very lesser cost. both andaman and lakshadweep has great water. Radhanagar Beach in Havelock Islands of Andaman has been rated as best beach in asia by trip advisor and others.

Looks like you are traveling unreserved. That means you are traveling in general compartments which is the worst class in Indian railways. You’d have to reserve higher classes to have a comfortable train ride. The railways has been designed to transport a lot of the labor class and poor people for jobs, education, healthcare etc. If you don’t want to be among that crowd, choose other travel options including premium high end trains.

Bro in every tuk tuk taxi driver seat behind there will be a poster stick it by the side of Kerala State motors department and you will find how much rupees for how much kilometers. In different State, district have other amount of cash,not the same.so every time you will try to travel in tuk tuk in India you should check it first before you go...
