There has to be some kind of magic going on outside of it just being low iso for it to last this well haha! There's no fogging or anything! And the results are beautiful to boot! I would be monumentally grateful if you did decide to send some panatomic vibes this way haha!

How cool is this?! There’s a lot I don’t know, and I can’t say I ever remember this film. I was young when it was made, but still…. Excellent share Will 😊Thanks for bringing this story to life. It was definitely enjoyable to watch. Cheers 🍻. Also, hot dog! You made me tired watching you walk up those stairs.

Hahah cheers Justin! The worst part of that rock traversal was my shoes soles are quite worn down and slick so I kept slipping all over the show which was somewhat stressful haha! Weird how there are stocks that are ubiquitous for some folks that others have never heard of hey! I think there are a bunch out there that I have yet to discover, but am looking forward to giving them a go haha!

In high school photo class, 1989-90 year, teacher asked me to clean out the back room and fridge, throw it all out… I was granted a 1986 expired 100’ roll of panatomic X and Kodak Extachrome 100, 1986 as well. We were already using tmax 100 and 400, tri-X and plus-x was basically done. I remember having the upper hand with my craft when I had all that pan-x to mess with. I still have 2 rolls expired in 90 sitting in my freezer. At some point, I hoarded as much as I could find. Combined with HC110, it was made for pan-x.

Nice. B/W is the biggest reason I started shooting my film cameras again. I really understand about the filters. I don’t think B/W should be used without at least a yellow filter. The 3 stop loss with the red filter can be annoying but I’ve found the 2 stop loss Orange filter to be a good alternative. Be careful out there without a hat you could get a bad burn on that dome of yours
@willysheepskin8 ай бұрын
Cheers Bob! I reckon you’re definitely right, orange is probably the perfect middle ground, although I’d just use a tripod with it anyway since things always seem sharper with mirror up on the RB. Also thanks for the excellent advice regarding head gear haha, I was a bit too brazen on that day and got a very light burn but am more cautious now as a result!

this film works beautifully with the landscape, you're so spoilt for choice in SA, i struggle so much in London and often don't pick up my camera until i'm overseas. On a random note, i watched the movie Civil war last week and as a photographer it kinda blew my mind seeing the perspective of a documentary photographer, the trailer is actually pretty diff from the movie itself. anyway i thought i'd mention incase you're interested, i left the cinema feeling totally stunned and hyped at the same time lol

I had the same experience with London! Although when I got to go on trips to smaller coastal towns I found that quite exciting. Folkstone is probably my favorite place I went in the uk, theres a house on a hill there that you can see from the docks I think and it looks like it's straight out of a novel. Plus the verticality of the town was cool too! If I ever go back to the UK for an extended period I'll be back there and on the hunt for other cool small towns haha! I'll definitely check out Civil War, have been hearing a lot about it!
@velyvely64798 ай бұрын
@@willysheepskin that’s what I’ve been thinking actually, to visit some costal places, thanks for the recommendation . Devon would be another great place but it be cheaper to fly somewhere else in Europe then go and stay there lol if ur ever back in the London the barbican is quite a nice and unusual spot to photograph. Enjoy the movie!
