Retina's are wonderful machines, I don't know who constructed them, but he was a genius. The photos taken by Retina's are wonderful. I really like them 😍

I recently obtained this camera (second hand) and I wondered if there are any ways to fix the issue that happens when I have it on the automatic setting ( It does not shoot) Thanks

Well, claiming Kodak begun building quality cameras do stretch the truth. They bought Nagel, the cameras were already existent. That Schneider is not a high quality lens, but a 3 element one. Nothing wrong with that but even in the 30s that was not considerd high quality. It is a budget lens, but you could buy this camera with a Xenar too if I am not wrong. (Could be that was avaible only for the higher specified Retina Automatic 3.) Not a word about the automatic blocking the exposure button when not enough light is avaible? A nice feature is the focusing distance being indicated in the viewfinder by 1, 2 or 3 dots. The entire series of this type is nice, not only the automatics. My first one of these was the Retinette 1B. They are plenty and cheap.
