P.S all of us Sydney siders could benefit from a covid yard stick to help slow the spread of whatever variant we are up to 😂😂😂

Great intro. For a moment I thought you were Paul Simon. Love your great sense of humour. This kind of photography certainly slows you down, lol.

Haha. I can see the resemblance. Yes film is very slow. You could say I suffer for my Art.... Garfunkel

I enjoyed that Roberto - Entertaining and informative. I like your willingness to try something different. With all the performance of measuring the distance and then dialling it in to the camera, I tend to agree, stick to infinity and landscapes as the line of least resistance. I did notice how inflation has taken its toll on the purchase price compared to when the camera was new. Seasons' greetings to you and Jerry. Keep up the good work next year.

thanks Lee. I noticed I didn't measure much when I took it out. Mainly shooting at F11 of scenes at 10ft plus... even the light meter was a waste of money LOL... just use a phone app. I worked it out £22 is about £532 today 🙂

I enjoyed this "prequel" to your walk around Sydney video with this camera. One thing you might try indoors to crack the focus problem at wider apertures is to use a laser tape measure. You can find these things at big hardware and home repair stores for less than the light meter costs. Just hold on the side of your head where the camera will be andpoint it at the thing you want to shoot. Click the button and it will read out distance in feet or meters. Apply that setting to the lens and shoot! It doesn't work well outside because the laser is too weak when it's sunny. But for indoor or shaded spots it's quick and accurate.

Hi. Thanks for watching. Yeah ive heard about those lasers. Ill check them out. More for precision but in general im getting used to visualizing feet in my mind and can roughly measure. With a big enough appature it coveres the focus. But at F3.5 its tight and need exact.

LOL, you really made me laugh this time Roberto, i was imagining you shooting an entire 8 hour wedding with that measuring tape in one hand and the camera in the other hand checking the distance between you and the guests. Instead of buying the light meter did you ever try one of the many free cellphone light meter apps? I got one for my iPhone and it works great. On a separate note, I finally got (from an Amazon seller) the Olympus OM-1 that I wanted with the 50mm f/1.8 lens for $200.00 and it works great (and looks good too), even the light meter works. Be well, stay safe and wish Jerry a belated happy birthday.

Lol. Yeah. I could use the stick to double as covid yard stick. I used the phone meter and tell you truth the light meter i got is a waste of money. Phone app does exact same thing. Congrats on om1

You bought a light meter to make life easier? You know what makes life easier? Shooting digital. Lol. Cool video. And trust me, the imperial system makes as much sense to me as it does you

Id laugh if it wasnt true. Light meter waste of money. Phone app just as good. 😆 Only just learnt the school ruler is 1 foot. Actually im starting to like imperial.. its easy to visualise. Just bought another vintage camera from russia.. the pain i put myself through 😆
